Unable to place drones on RPD

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: I was playing on RPD East Wing, and on numerous occasions was unable to place a drone despite the prompt appearing and me clicking the button several times.
PLATFORM: Steam
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
- Load into RPD
- Try to place a drone.
- sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
