Map dependant killers and map offerings
I really dislike current map spawns on account of just how map dependant a lot of killers are. I've been playing around 60/40 killer to survivor lately and what map i end on is incredibly more important when i'm playing killer than when i'm playing survivor, especially for the less strong, more stealth dependant killers.
That gets me thinking, is it really the best for the game that map offerings are both symetrical between sides, and as unreliable as they currently are? I don't think so.
Should killers just be able to choose the map they want to play? No, not at all. BUT i do think that there should be a few more vague ways of getting a TYPE of map, like indoors vs outdoors.
There are killers that should absolutely have more chances of getting indoors maps, while others should have the opposite(of course, most being somewhere in between). This would fix some of the main frustrations with a few killers being exceptionally map dependant, and allow for better balancing of many killers whilst taking that into consideration. This also doesn't necessitate making specific map offerings better, since a killer or survivor team being able to consistently pick a specific map they excel in wouldn't need to be a possibility for this to work.
Another option, if going further that way was a possibility, being able to set a indoors or outdoors preference when looking for matches would also be really neat.

I wrote this in the other thread about map offerings.
They really should be
1 offering = 50% of getting the map
2 offerings = 33% both if different offerings
3 offerings = 25% all different offerings
4 offerings = 20% all different offerings
5 offerings = 20% all different offerings guarantee that map is one of the offerings no random chanceThis way it could not be that easily abused as there is still 20% chance of getting a random map if survivors all use a map offering and of course the map offerings don't stack so they can't stack four same offerings the chance would still be that flat 20% in that case if the offerings would be the same and random would be 80%.

I think map offerings should have a higher percentage for killers. It feels thematically appropriate for killers to stack the deck against survivors without allowing survivors to pick their bully maps too frequently.

IMO it's less to do with feeling "stacked" and more with the fact that survivors are incredibly less map dependant than killers on average, and that a good map vs a bad map is a significantly different thing for a few killers, some having most of their potential power denied.

Personally I would change map offerings to prevent specific maps. it's doable and would be way less competitive strategy.

It would still not fix anything, there are tons of maps that just negate a few killers' powers, having to choose just one just means the other ones will likely still be there to deny half of the stealth killer rooster for example.

Well that been said, if your opinion is that stealth killers should only play on indoor map then I don't agree.

I don't believe that stealth killers should only play indoors, but i do believe people should be able to specifically select to have a higher chance of indoors vs outdoors spaces, instead of it being on a specific map basis. An Oni on lery's getting stuck and taken out of power on every corner is as bad as a ghostface on yamaoka estate.
