DBD Launch Error on Shadow PC (Virtual Machine Issue)

Dear BHVR,

I have not been able to play Dead by Daylight for the past few days. I have been playing DBD on Shadow PC for years without any issue, but since Monday, the game no longer launches.

I receive the following error message: “Launch Error – Cannot run under Virtual Machine.”

I contacted Shadow PC support, and they are adamant that the issue is related to Easy Anti-Cheat.

Could you please let Easy Anti-Cheat know that some players use Shadow PC to play your game, do not cheat, and would really like to be able to play Dead by Daylight again?

    BHVR support answered me : "I'm sorry to hear that you can no longer launch the game on Shadow PC and must inform you that Dead By Daylight cannot be played on a Virtual Machine due to EAC Settings."

    I guess i won't be able to play DBD anymore and BHVR doesn't care.

    Yeah, having the same issue here. The shadow pc supports stated, that Easy Anticheat said, thats a new setting in the newest version of it. The devs could disable it…
