My Ghostface headcanons 😽
Hi guys! I’m new around here and I wanted to talk about one of the headcanons I’ve had about Ghostface for a few years now. A long time ago I was researching a disorder that used to be called multiple personality disorder, now known as DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), which is a mental condition where a single person presents two or more distinct identities or personality states.
While I was researching it for an assignment, I got an idea and made my own headcanon, thinking it would be something really dynamic to add to Ghostface. There are some theories that Danny killed his father because he mistreated or abused him, and that could work really well with DID, since this disorder can develop over the years as a result of childhood trauma and bad experiences. So the supposed abuse Danny suffered in childhood could be a major trigger.
Then we have the fact that Danny Johnson uses a fake alias for his job as a journalist, “Jed Olsen,” and I thought that could be one of the names of the identities that accompany him. At first I mainly thought there would only be two, Danny and Jed, but later on I came up with more identities/alters, each one representing each Ghostface outfit, although I no longer have that information about those alters.
Each one would obviously have a different personality. I imagined Danny Johnson as a calmer, more serious person, portrayed more or less as he usually is in the DbD files, while Jed Olsen, on the other hand, would be more like how the community portrays him in fanart and other stuff. I mean, Jed would be a more impulsive, crazy, childish, silly, obsessive identity, etc. At first I chose this randomly, but now that I think about it, Jed could represent that more childish side because of the traumas that caused his disorder, showing the childhood he never got to live normally or something like that (maybe that doesn’t even make sense).
What I’m basically trying to say is that Danny would be the calmer, more serious side, while Jed would be more childish and impulsive. Both would share the same desire to kill and that psychopathy, although I think Jed could be even more aggressive, being highly motivated by the fun he would get out of it. He would also be the alter who gets along best with the other killers, because I think he would be the more sociable side as well.
Idk, I hope you liked this headcanon. I’ve been thinking about it for a long time and I really wanted to share it, lol.

No offense intended but that doesn't sound right to me at all. He works under aliases in order to keep himself from getting caught. It's pretty in line with his whole thing of being very analytical and thoughtful about his murders. He's a sociopath that enjoys messing with people, particularly in the public eye.

AND I know, I've read his history files... It's just a fun headcanon I have for him

Isn't the point of headcanons to fill in voids of information, not completely overlay established lore? As far as I'm aware in ghostfaces lore Jed is only ever mentioned in relation to his job and as his alias, nothing more.
