Simple Killer Balance Fix: Tiered Perk Value Tweaks for Fair Play
As a dedicated Dead by Daylight player with thousands of hours (primarily on killers like Wraith), I've seen the balance divide widen: S-tier killers like Nurse and Blight hit 55-60% kill rates (NightLight data), while mid/low tiers like Wraith, Myers, and Legion struggle at 40-48%.
Perk nerfs to curb top-killer abuse (e.g., Ruin, Surge) hurt everyone else, leaving weaker powers unviable.
My Proposal: 3-Tier Perk Value Tweaks
Assign killers to 3 tiers (S/A/B) based on annual NightLight/community data:
S-Tier (e.g., Nurse, Blight): Standard values.
A-Tier (e.g., Spirit, Vecna): Slightly buffed values.
B-Tier (e.g., Wraith, Myers, Legion): Strongly buffed values.
How It Works (Minimal Work):
Existing perks only—no new ones or basekit changes.
Tier-specific values: e.g., B-Tier Ruin = 100% regression (no skill checks); A-Tier = 80%; S-Tier = standard 60%.
