Tip how to learn to use SB

This is highly out of my usual topic, but I have noticed interesting thing yesterday.

For last few months on survivors, I forced myself to play without any exhaustion perks and without WoO, simply to get better and not get carried by perks (nothing wrong if you want to use those), I was just happier for longer chases that way.

Yesterday I have been playing with some friends who are starting and wanted to use Shoulder the burden, because killers didn't like to chase me at all and SB is probably best perk you can use with it.

I used to hate playing with SB a lot before, because I was more in mindset "I want it to be available when killer finds me". But yesterday that went away, simply because I am used to not having any exhaustion perk anyway.

So basically I get myself to walk only short distances, otherwise just run…
Definetly not walking marathon at start of the game to find a gen, which I am sure we have all seen someone do.

It's easy to find guidelines when and how to use SB, but if you want to get actually used to it fast, I would recommend try to play without any exhaustion first.
