I dont understand matchmaking bp bonus
If the killer queue is 3 minutes, why does it have a 2.5x bp bonus? Shouldnt that mean they are lacking killers in queue, and therefore queue times should be short? yesterday, survivor had a 4x bonus with 2 minute queue times, but killer had a 5 second queue time with no bonus.
Am I stupid? But shouldn't this be the other way around?

If there's a two minute queue on, say, killer, they want to get the number down, so the bonus is on the longer one to incentivize you to play that one. The role with the bonus is the one lacking players.

Yes, I understand. But in this case the killer queue is 2 minutes and also has the 2.5x blood point bonus, while survivor insta pops with no bonus. If the killer queue is 2 minutes, they have to many killers no? so why put a bp incentive to make people play it.

Mandy mentions in this thread that they are tweaking the matchmaking bonus behind the scenes and it can result in some abnormalities.

ah gotcha, thank you.

Yeah, again, it has the bonus because it has the longer queue. The game needs more killers because there's a line, so there's a bonus to play killer. The longer queue gets the bonus. Why would you get a bonus for the one that is instant?

Well… and instant queue as killer means there's a lot of survivors. so therefore, survivors will have a longer queue. in order to get more players to play killer, you give them a BP bonus. (which will decrease survivor queue time) More killers play → killers will get a longer queue time and therefore the bonus goes away and then maybe survivors will get it as now they need more survivors to fill for the killers.
So the shorter queue time does get the bonus as they need more players to fill that role.
