Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Legion due to an issue that allows for infinite power spam. The Legion will be re-enabled once this issue is fixed.

The animatronic deserves a rework.

i mean, we're all thinking it, right? it's a nice design we have now, but really, this isn't springtrap. they made him simple for the people coming to the game to play him, but they've all either left or gotten used to the game by now. hell, I was brought to the fog by him, and now I know just about every nook and cranny of dbd. the simple part has served it's purpose, so I think it's time he gets interesting, not just another glob of preexisting killers.

so, I want to start a movement. anyone who agrees with me, put #REWORKSPRINGTRAP under your forums, on your tweets, anywhere. this is our game too, I say we start taking some control. but don't harass any devs. let's protest, but not riot, please.

this is a link to a possible rework I had in mind. if you have any suggestions for it, let me know, and if you also like it, start tagging it in your forums too. I want the devs to see it, at least. https://docs.google.com/document/d/19ZBiyQSauSt5jeuFfSUxw6zMr_ux652zGGe9EZZ5E1I/edit?tab=t.0

thanks in advance to all of you willing to do this. I genuinely think if we yell loud enough they will see this.

That rework is too complicated and gimmicky for a Killer that doesn't even really need one. He's fine. It'd be nice if there were more incentive for Survivors to use the Doors than there is currently but I don't play him enough to make a judgment call on how you'd do that without making him too weak when they're in use or too strong when they're not. He's certainly doing better than a lot of the cast; if any Licensed Killer needs a substantial rework it's The Onryo.

If you're starting to get bored of him then that's your cue to try a different killer. The game has over 40 others to pick from. Also Scott Cawthon was very closely involved and had the final say in everything to do with Springtrap's chapter. So you'd have to petition any changes to him.

I was a massive Axe Hater, so I get where you're coming from, but I don't really see this as the way to do it. Killers in DBD hardly ever lose their original power, and even the most drastic of reworks usually keep the base concepts and abilities present.

The best example of a rework changing large aspects of Killer function was Freddy, but the less said about that the better.

I do think current Springtrap is a bit weak and could use some tweaks to not feel like Diet Huntress with a Teleport, but there's still plenty to like with the current design that players have gotten use to.

While this isn't much more realistic for the devs to take notice of, I still do love love love the idea to make an addon removing the axe and buffing the doors and the undetectable Springtrap gets from them for a more classic FNaF vibe, just for players who do still want that option.

scott was never said to have made the power, it was jsut said he approved them. and trust me, i've tried other killers and they're all fun in their own way. i just want springtrap to feel like, well, SPRINGTRAP.

As a long time fnaf fan I really don't know how you could get a more faithful adaptation of Springtrap. In all honesty I was on the edge about the axe but that been so engrained in Springtrap to the point where I do think it makes sense, it also has a really fun skill ceiling that I enjoy. At the end of the day Springtrap never really had a thing, he was just a guy with a knife, eternally trapped in a rabbit suit.

Not even a knife, he was entirely unarmed while wandering around trying to jumpscare the player in the FNAF games.

Also let's be real, stuff like a pizza knife and a fireaxe are both common things that can be found in places such as a pizzeria. One as a kitchen tool and the other as a emergency equipment. It wouldn't be hard nor unlikely for someone to get their hands on both.

The only thing i feel like Springtrap truly lacks is an incentive for Survivors to actively engage with the camera reveal system. One way to fix this is by having Springtrap gradually lose his terror radius, when not being revealed by a Survivor.
