The Mastermind Nerf

Dear Behaviour Interactive Team

I wanted to share my thoughts on the update to Dead by Daylight specifically the changes made to The Mastermind, Albert Wesker.

First I want to say that I am glad you fixed the issue with Virulent Bound that was causing Wesker to glide off a hills ledge while falling. This is a deal because it makes the game more fair for everyone. When the game is consistent it is fun for both the killers and the survivors.

I also want to talk about the advanced mechanics that you removed, like insta-flicks and hug techs. These were things that players could do with Wesker that made the game more exciting. They were not easy to do so players had to practice and be very good at the game to use them. This made the game more fun for people who were really good at it because they could do things that other players could not.

Now that these mechanics are gone Wesker feels more boring and easier to predict when you are chasing survivors. What made him much fun was that you could use advanced movement and tricks to outsmart the survivors. Without these things the game is not as exciting.

I do not think that bringing back insta-flicks and hug techs would make Wesker too powerful. It would just make the game more fun for people who're really good at it. The survivors would still have ways to counter what the killer is doing. They would have to be more careful and respectful of the killers skills. This would make the game balanced and more fun to play.

In conclusion I am glad you fixed the bug. I really think you should bring back the advanced mechanics for The Mastermind, Albert Wesker. This would make the game more fun and exciting for everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts and, for continuing to work on Dead by Daylight.
