Make DBD more Human Friendly in regards to DC's
I believe messaging is very important, and DBD isn't the only game in which players can give up. In games like League of Legends players can actively forfeit, which is also why it is perceived that way, and for the enemies, in a positive light.
For DBD however, that isn't true. What we have is "DC-ing", and it feels like that. Players unwilling to play. It can feel bad when you play killers like Krasue, or Ghoul and 4 ppl end up DC'ing. Now of course we can't fully change other people's behaviour, but we can change how we communicate this to the killer:
Forfeiting:
There now are 2 different ways to communicate "DC's". One is the old one, where you hear a special sound followed by a BOT tag next to the name of the DC'ed player. This will trigger for any person that will get a matchmaking penalty.
For any legitimate DC without a penalty, like a 4 man slug:
- A different sound plays, matching the theme of forfeitting
- A more yellow tinted tag appears instead of the red BOT tag, saying SURRENDERED
Why this is meaningful?
It creates less negative emotions that are associated with the current DC communication, that subconsciously correlates with messages such as "We don't like your killer", "We hate your playstyle" and separates those out from legitimate DC's, like a 4 man slug, that simply speed up boiler-plate hooking after wins.
This prevents negative emotions from being invoked where players did not mean to invoke them, by separating out penalized DC's from non-penalizing DC's
The text for the killer should also change, from; instead of being "Abandon Match" to something with positive connotations, like "Accelerate Victory" or something of the sorts
