Wesker Fix Patch 9.5.2 Issue’s
To start off, I’m so very thankful for BHVR fixing some of the drastic issues that were extremely problematic to Wesker and his mechanics. However few things must be addressed and i’m doing this out of refining Wesker to help others and myself enjoy the Killer to the fullest extent without frustrations.
Firstly, Wesker’s biggest and most notable thing that’s being tossed around in communities of Wesker is “Insta flicking” Essentially what is SUPPOSED to happen when insta flicking is dashing and spamming bound whilst flicking your mouse or joystick, if done correctly you flick and you did an insta flick. However in this patch when attempting to insta flick it feels limited or the turn rate is slow and you can’t instantly snap when flicking and limits you. On PC if you flick you snap and you do the michael jackson “urosnapping” which makes you dash one way but you look 180 from where you were previously looking. This is incredibly frustrating and awkward.
Secondly, Wesker’s rebounding off objects or dashing into objects feels weird and works when it wants to, for instance: You dash into a wall to rebound off of it and 180 and grab a survivor, 50% of the time if you dash into a wall while holding the directional key to the corresponding side you are trying to strafe, you get momentum or you get half of momentum and STUTTER and barely get any movement out of it which can make you miss so many grabs.
Thirdly, this happened to me the other day and sometimes when dashing you bump on absolutely nothing and abruptly ends your dash, which is incredibly annoying. And also bring back Sky Wesker, if multiple killers can go off elevations with power like Blight, Pyramid head, Oni, and Dracula’s Wolf Form, why can’t Wesker?.
To wrap it all up, fix insta flicking so the player can instantly flick with no restriction on turning after dashing ends so that the end of the dash wherever the player flicked to is where the camera will be and instantly flicking without urosnapping, so if you dash straight and insta flick backward you go backward not continue going straight and doing a michael jackson dash, fix rebounding to give the player momentum and doesn’t stutter, and lastly fix minor things like randomly bumping on nothing. Bring back Sky Wesker.

The change i never understood was when they fixed Wesker grabbing people from the other side of the window/pallet when the survivor was vaulting it and they made it so now if the survivor starts the vaulting animation most of the time you will "bump" into them even when with any other killer power you would just hit them.

Yeah this one before you hit them even when they were behind window which wasnt great, now they can be in that window or in animation vaulting it before window and you just dash into them and bump or slide off instead of hitting them or vaulting the window as soon as they vaulted it which is what kaneki does.

Did this patch fix fixed his hitbox?
What I mean is that I saw multiple shorts where wesker when dashed on someone and urobend before his dash colided (turned his camera to side so he woul get hit sooner) he jus slide past the survivor, this happened because somehow weskers dash only hit survivors when his camera was aiming on them but before he would grab you even if he was facing survivor with his side or back all that mattered was for them to colide with his hitbox and this was broken after patch 9.5.0.
So have this someone tryed, does it work because I havent seen it anywhere tested in 9.5.2 fix.

While I appreciate the work BHVR has done to rectify the issues.
Wesker still needs a lot of work, I think the best course of action would be to just revert the changes and have him be the way he was before the Tricksters Delusion update.
The fact is, there were very little Wesker players that could pull off these techs. The techs themselves were very situational and only worked if a survivor was in a specific position on a tile/loop.
Any killer can be strong if someone practices enough.
Why are we nerfing players with the experience to back up their skill. Thousands of hours spent to learning everything possible to a killer. To be in the top 5% of players on a killer to have all their hard work thrown away.
The path BHVR is taking is a negative one, for killers especially.
All I can do is hope they will agree and change Wesker back.
That they won’t do this unnecessarily in the future.

So its not fixed well thats bad, I guess it works sometimes but if you didnt grab someone who was in the way/trajectory of your dash and in its range than it leaves questions what is possible on wesker.
I just hope they fix him Im not good with him that much I cant pull hug techs or advaced things but urobending and rebounds is something I use a lot to get hits with wesker and if these dont work all the time than it sucks.

Bro just bring him back to his version when st2 chapter came out so everything is fine. Why would u tryna change him then tryna fix him step by step which is harder than doing nothing at the beginning. Also hitboxes feels broken imo bc now i miss my zeyyn techs without a reason even if im in the true frame where i must be. Sometimes, i'm failing my hugs or any other techs without a reason which if i try it before patch that would've been 100% succesfuly. I feel like that's why some techs won't work even if you do it right and even if you're just in the right place when your first bound ends. Also rebounds feel broken. Flicks must be insta flicks.

They're gonna have to get rid of the camera slowdown if they can't fix the instaflick thing. That's just how it is.

Wesker had never been in need of any changes prior to these updates. He never needed his hugs to be easier; he never needed anything. On every tier list made by content creators, he was always in the middle. He has been known in the community for being a "perfect" killer. On top of the fact that he is balanced, both his skill floor and skill ceiling are pretty dang high. You would always know when the Wesker knew what he was doing, you can see the hours put into him. Now the changes are just making him less and less skill expressive. P25 Weskers can do reverses after the first change. Then in the newest update, his flicks become so delayed, and the stuttering is just terrible from the rebounds. They are slowly killing off their BEST killer they have ever made. Wesker was perfect, and he was so fun to play against and to play as. No one asked for these changes; no one needed these changes. I picked up this killer because I wanted a challenge, I wanted to learn something that wouldn't have just come to me easily. I put in all my time into this killer, now I am just forced to watch him be burned into the ground. After these changes, I cannot even touch the game much. I keep trying to play, but it is not the same because I will never get to feel that enjoyment I got out of it from such a short time ago. This wasn't something I could've seen coming, I can only hope that 9.5.0 and 9.5.2 Wesker changed would be reversed.

Wesker's power isn't working properly; he presses the button to jump, but it doesn't work, and everything freezes.

Why do you think Wesker is botton tier in Asia? Because players there tend to avoid "exploitive" playstyles out of a sense of sportsmanship or a preference for "clean" mechanics there.
Wesker's power is pretty much useless in A LOT of structures without you sliding on them like a piece of soap.
What people fail to understand is that by exploiting these bugs and saying they make Wesker good to play or that these are part of his kit makes so that we'll never get what he really needs: tweaks to his power like:
-3 dashes.
-Make his dashes don't have collision with the environment at any point while Wesker is dashing.
-Being able to cancel the 2nd dash.
-Shorter cooldown to his tokens.
-Press Power 2 to instantly stop carrying a surv and throw them at something.
Not all of these need to be added and I'm sure there's other things that could be done to improve his power. I was just brainstorming ideas to make him better.1
