Do map copies need to exist?
This picture personifies one of the major problems i have with DBD maps, the fact that some are just the same but with minor changes to loops and all that other stuff. There are two versions of Groaning Storehouse, Shelter Woods, Suffocation Pit, Coal Tower, And Ironworks. There are currently FOUR versions of Badham preschool even though it is one of the most hated killer maps in the games history and the changes for each version are equally bad. The map bloat is driving me insane on why some maps are basically just copy and paste with barely any gameplay changes. If you got rid of the map copies we would still have up to over 40 maps in the game. Three Ormonds, Four Badhams, and one copy of each Macmillan Estate and one copy of each map of the Yamoka Estate does not need to exist when one version of each map will work just fine.

You only have those in Custom Games. In Public Games Map Variations dont exist anymore (rightfully so).

Well, sort of. They still exist, but they changed it from map repeat prevention to realm repeat prevention. So it used to be say Badham Preschool was the worst. 5 different maps, all pretty much the same but with VERY MINOR changes. So you wouldn't get Badham Preschool 3 twice in a row, but you could get the other 4. Now, you will never get ANY Bahham Preschool map twice in a row.

Completely incorrect. There are no 5 different versions of Badham Preschool anymore, only one version exists. Same for every other Map variant. (In public games)
EDIT: See here:

welp guess i made myself look dumb again. But the fact that we did have multiple versions of the same maps for the longest time was utterly insane.

Not "for the longest time". I dont know when exactly they introduced Map Variants, but most of them were not around for that long. Badham 2-5 came into the game when Freddy got reworked the first time, those were around the longest. And the additional MacMillan, Ormond and Yamaoka Maps were added at a later point.
But yeah, they were not needed at all and were overall pretty lazy and it was clear that not much effort went into them. It was good that they removed them.
