I really enjoy this feature but not because of the time saving feature, but in my matches its been feeling more of a mix in the community, rather then Killer v Survivors. on top of it feeling much more streamlined then having to change lobbies after every match.

I've had multiple matches where our opponent was on the other side the next match, leading to wholesome interactions.

some examples I've had of wholesome interactions due to play as you wait feature

Sprit
solo q match against a spirt, we 4 man out but then the next match me and random get put in same lobby as them and make sure they escaped in our survivor match.

Billy (me)
Had match where there was one survivor that was really good in chase, then next match got them in survivor lobby and was like "ayo I was just your killer" and did really well that match.

Krause
I was not part of match but 2 other soloq survivors where mega excited in lobby chat that they just versed other person when they where Krause. A wholesome interaction.

I've seen globes who I've versed pervious game but sadly they cant chat, but I just think a feature like this does no harm but promotes playing both sides and has been leading to wholesome interactions which I love to see in the game.

I have played killer way more then I would have if this feature was not added, even if que times where lower.

How exactly does Play As You Wait work? They say it holds your place in the queue, but what if a trial takes longer to complete than it does to match? I'm curious because on one hand, keeping it a permanent fixture could help the issue of Survivor being harder to fill, but if it pauses the queue then it might have the opposite effect of creating dead lobbies that players evade.

When you que as killer you can switch to survivor que, ready up and play a match

When you finish survivor match you will be put into killer que again with a "priority que" tag, from there you can choice to play another survivor match or play your killer match, even if the time in que says 0 seconds you can switch to survivor if you wanted.

From my experience it still takes a 30 seconds to min to find lobby when it says 0 seconds so I assume it just puts you at top of que, not saving a lobby for you and making survivors wait. If you dodge a lobby you loose your priority matchmaking currently (game warns you if you go to leave killer lobby)

Thank you. I wonder if that would clog the system still. 🤔 Either way, it's worth testing out more.

I don't think it would risk clogging system as SWF still have to go directly to survivor lobby and cant play as you wait so it would only be solo players switching more often and only if they want to.

The only thing I think it risks is making people who play only killer have slightly longer que times (like maybe by a min) but I think that risk outweighs what play as you wait brings to the game.
