My idea for Freddy buff
Freddy's biggest problem is that he doesn't have any defense (IE can't stop gens, can't stop unhooks, etc.) Thus, I propose the following:
Dream transition time is reduced to 5 seconds, or even less, like 3 seconds. This is still a long time before you can even hit them.
Freddy's attacks can now hit awake survivors, but do no damage. Instead, they begin to fall asleep, and are interrupted from whatever task they were doing. Repeated hits speed up the sleep effect, by .5 - 1 second each. This means that Freddy can now protect hooks and generators. Perks that rely on hitting a target, like Remember Me, STBFL, NOED, etc only count when the hit would do damage, IE when they are in the dream world.
Skillcheck fails only have a chance to wake you up, say 20-25%. The only sure-fire way to wake up is to find another survivor. Perhaps the chance goes up for every sacrificed survivor, maybe 10%? This means you can still get woken up quickly by a lucky skill check fail, but it's unlikely.
These changes would make it possible for Freddy to pressure survivors outside of the dream world, which is something he sorely lacks. Numbers could be tweaked, of course, but freddy is a master of dreams, it should be hard to wake up.
Just for funsies, here's another idea I had, that's probably broken:
At the start of the match, 2 totems, 3 generators, 3-4 pallets and 1-2 chests are pulled into the dream. These objects can only be interacted with while you are sleeping, being useless to survivors who are awake. Freddy may spend a couple seconds on any of his totems, or up to 2 additional pallets to pull into the dream. If there are no non-dream generators left, 1-2 generators become availible to awake survivors, so Freddy can't hold a game hostage. Objects in the dream look static-y or transparent to awake survivors, and glow to sleeping survivors much like survivors do to freddy. Alseep survivors can use objects in either state, normal or dream.
