We know players encountered different issues when playing the Black Banquet Event, and we wouldn't want you to leave the feast still hungry. We'll be providing 5M Bloodpoints to all players, redeemable in your in-game inbox. Thank you for your patience as we worked on these issues, and we hope to see you in The Fog!
Recent Events are Filled with New "Toys" for Survivors: But What is there for Killers to Do?
I do not mind any of the Survivor mechanics introduced into this Black Banquet event.
But what, really, is there for Killers to do?
Being able to Poison Survivors is actually really cool! I LOVE the Poison mechanic! But being able to Poison Survivors and only sometimes get value out of it hardly feels equitable for Killers compared to the tremendous amount of constant new mechanics being thrown at Survivors.
This event is so boring for Killers, and that's been a worrying trend recently.
When new mechanics are largely only for Survivors, Killers feel neglected.
Blood Moon offers absolutely zero new gameplay for Killers, just more objectives that are harder to defend.
Black Banquet is, by and large, almost exclusively constant boons for Survivors.
As Killer, I like throwing the poison bottles, but honestly it doesn't feel like it's doing much for me. And you don't get to see direct payoff from poisoning food, either.
Not to mention, I keep charging my bottles and then my camera snaps around 180 degrees to force me to poison a Food Cart behind me that I didn't see.
There is very little new fun or interesting things for Killers to do, and that's been a recurring theme for new events recently.
Why did we remove the Killer anniversary mechanics? Events are becoming so boring and rather stressful more than anything for playing Killer. It makes me want to not play Killer during any events.

i wish Killers got the ability to eat the food

Exactly! Why can't Killers have fun, too?
Survivors get full team insta-heals, insta-dashes, teleports, invisibility, invulnerability, unbreakable pallets, the ability to rebuild pallets, free fragile pallets, free items, item recharges, haste to move as fast or faster than killer, free elusive.
Killers get… sometimes Survivors can't sprint. If you're lucky.
The imbalance in the amount of new mechanics for each team is absolutely insane.

Guess BHVR wanted to make this event completely survivors side to balance things from making the last two anniversaries event completely killer sided lol

I was playing Ghoul today and in one match some guy got invincibility 3 times and i just stood at a table and just stared at it the rest of the match. Like bro

The invincibility + dramaturgy food items are pretty insane but other than that I don't find myself having much trouble as killer.

the answer is cope while survivors get op effects
3 -
Throwing the bottle is quite op effect too as they literally will stop moving little bit after they get hit by it, but still its one ability when survivors get several I would say are stronger.
-2 -
The bottle throw is almost useless bc the effect is cleansed as soon as you hit them, and if you can hit them with the bottle then you're probably already in hit range.

You can hold the throw key and throw it further away if you did not know.

I think this is the worst event I have ever personally participated in in this game.

Killers always get screwed over even though survivors are the ones with strong perks and infinite pallets, killers are the only ones ever nerfed, survivors never get nerfed even when it's something gamebreaking like Streetwise, like how they didn't killswitch it until they got enough backlash and claimed they didn't have a killswitch at first

Functionally, it feels as if there's no event for killers. The poison bottles rarely help, and do little to effect the overall game play. Playing as survivor, you get tons of buffs, either globally after there are 4 plates on a table or after spending 1.5s eating a morsel. It's not necessarily a struggle to get a win as a killer in the event, especially if the survivors are fixated on the event instead of doing gens, but that's not what I'm worried about. There's just… nothing fun to do as killer in the 10th anniversary event.
All this coupled with the fact that the BP offerings are very rare rather than common. I just don't see any reason to keep playing. What a shame, could've been such a fun event for both sides.3 -
Killers get guaranteed wins the other 11/12ths of the year

Last couple anniversaries had survivors stuck with niche and barely useful abilities while killers got major buff abilities, guess BHVR decided to pass the bat to survivors this time around
-2 -
screw it 97 pallets buff

2v8 as well. Survivor has been slacked on for most of it, especially while Legion was still around.

I don't like how we have two events that lean to the survivor side and now suddenly Its a problem.
Twisted Masquerade a lot of survivors did not enjoy for the same reason but reverse Killer gets cool stuff while survivors get basically junk. But we get it multiple years in a row.
All tho I don't think these following events where bad or a massively imbalance, I would just like to include to show that they are not forgetting about killers in events.
Bone Chill 2025 - all tho I love the snowballs survivors that's really all they got and they could freeze pallets witch has minimal use on survivors expect for pallets like shack. Meanwhile the Killer could cover a gen in snow, and even freeze pallets causing some loops to just become free hits. Snowmen also provided more use to the killer then it did survivors.
Haunted By Daylight 2025 - beta fog vials Surviours could use as fog vials or passive gen progess. what did killer get? They can spit out a haunt that injury's you causing some caseses where the survivors could be two tapped basically.
Sorry it has swayed into the Survivors side for this event, But history of events shows this is not the norm.
Edit : would also like to add killers get a new "toy" every Killer release with a whole new power and kit, Survivor perks lately have been wildly mid.-1
