Just Donate All The Money/Rework Charity Event

I seen many people discussing this topic. And I have to say this is disappointing and disrespectful to those who can’t afford healthcare to live. That’s why the Douglass charity was created to help everyone in need. And treating killer players like their horrible people preventing survivor players raising more money for charity.
The reason for the issue is that if Killer kills a Shane player. Then their progress is lost. Which is not okay cause they should keep the progress regardless if they died in the game or not. The point of charity is to help people. Not to withhold money that players help earned. Also make it where both every survivor and killer can participate in collecting progress for charity.
But anyway all I’m really asking is please fix the event. Or just donate a big chuck money to Charity instead. And that I hope you do better and reconsider this decision.

The challenge is completing generators, not complete and escape. Why people are making a big deal of this and not just playing Shane and having fun, I'll never know.

I was confused a bit about when they said shanes lose progress when they die. Cuz it is just about finnishing a generator. Infact its so vague i don't know if its like dailies where you have to complete a whole generators worth or just be there for the last 2 seconds of it popping.
But as for the event being poorly executed, they aren't wrong. What should just be a fun event to raise money for something has almost turned into a full blown war on racism lol.
- Killers unaware of the event are being blamed for killing shanes
- Killers who are racist are using the event much like the Bubba/Claudette mask problem where they can express their racism by tunneling shanes - to prevent progress to the charity
- Most of the survivors are not playing as Shane so if the 1 in the lobby is ever get chased for a long period where all the gens are getting done by other players, the Shane player can't even make progress towards the charity
- There is no community progress being shown towards the goal, so noone knows if we are anywhere close to finnishing the goal or not even making a dent in it
- Its unknown if Shanes have to do a full generator or just be there for the finnish.
- The event is poorly advertised as apart from the 1 message in game, there is nothing indicating there is an event going on.
- Making 1 survivor character the sole focus of an event does nothing but make them into targets rather than making it into something everyone can participate in.
