Anticamp idea

Currently anticamp is just to prevent facecamping, but instead most just camp outside the anticamp range and stare at the hooked player waiting to move into facecamp range at the first sign of rescue.

What if the anticamp bar wasn't for the sake of getting yourself off the hook, but for teleporting to another random hook without notifying the killer of where you've moved? As thats what pyramid head's cages do.

So the idea is this:

  • If a hooked players anticamp bar gets filled, they can choose to teleport to a new random hook farther away.
  • Anticamp bar now only fills if the survivor on hook is able to maintain line of sight to the killer.
  • When teleporting to a new hook, there is no notification as to their new location (for the killer)

This will prevent facecamping / proxy camping / and not effect basement camping as that is what the basement is for and has perks to unhook yourself from.

and it isn't very weaponised as its not a free unhook, simply making camping effective only for a short period.

Alongside this new change - a rework to Rebecca's perk Reassurance : increase the range a little so that it can reach someone on a basement hook from above. Now fully fills the hooked survivor's anticamp bar when activated (changes back to extended hook timer after exit gates are powered). Currently the perk was designed to combat camping, but only stalls it. Being able to allow someone to move to a new hook will prevent the camping all together, and even fight against scenerios where a killer is heavily camping the now easier to defend basement.

And on a side note this isn't a perfect idea, as the first thing killers can take advantage of is hooking you near walls and then they can just wait next to you on the other side (also making indoor maps benificial for camping). So i also think they could add the regular anticamp bar, and a line of sight proxy camp bar. Whichever one fills first, allows the survivor to teleport to a new hook.

Might as well scratch the whole post lol turned into one of those things where I poured too much into it and now its just a 500% buff to anticamp.

The system was added to address facecamping. It's not a system intended to prevent killers from using the hooks as a form of pressure.
