Killer Creation: Bloodhound
The Bloodhound
(As always, perks/ability numbers are presented tier 1/2/3 order)
Backstory:
Dyllan Tanner was born to a poor family with little means. They lived in a hovel and his family scratched out a living my growing mediocre crop and the hides of animals his father manager to hunt down. He learned to hunt and he learned how his skills could be put to better use when he watched a nobleman ride by on his horse following his hunt master to catch game.
Dyllan set his mind to reach that goal. Not to be the nobleman, but to be the hunt master that the nobleman depended on. He grew up learning how to beat hunt game, small, medium, large, common and exotic. He learned the tools of his trade, from the humble skinning knife, the workings of his matchlock rifle, and the raising of his hunting dogs.
When the opportunity arose to show his skills off to a proper employer, Dyllan spared no effort to impress the man. His efforts paid off handsomely and he was hired on as the hunt master to a small but still wealthy lord. This lord, however, was the wicked sort and his desire for game was remorseless. Dyllan was obstructed to track common game nearly every day, and rarer game at least once a week. His benefactor even imported exotic animals such as lions and rhinoceros on the rare occasion. All these things, and the frequency of the work, was perfectly acceptable to Dyllan and the challenges they brought thrilled him for a time.
One morning Dyllan’s employer had a stranger standing before the gates bound at the hands and mouth. The lord explained that the man was a murderer and that he had been sentenced to death. Dyllan was to be his executioner. However, the lord said that he was willing to be forgiving and that if the man could survive in the woods for one day without Dyllan hunting him down, he would be pardoned and would take Dyllan’s job as hunt master.
The man was given a three hours head start before Dyllan was allowed to go after him. Dyllan has no desire to kill the man but he would not lose his job. As he set off in pursuit of the man Dyllan found that following his trail was different than following that of an animal’s. The man knew he was coming and he was trying to lose him. It made things more of a challenge. He was doubling back on his course, moving through water to lose his scent, etc. and Dyllan began to enjoy the hunt more than ever had before.
By the time the hunt was over and Dyllan brought the corpse of the man back to his lord, he was hooked. No hunt could be better than hunting a man who knew he was being hunted. He told his lord that he would be pleased to dispense out his justice any time he so desired it.
And the lord indulged him.
Soon the exotic animals were regularly replaced with execution hunts. Eventually there was rarely a week that went by without at least one execution hunt. Dyllan became so adept at hunting humans that he had raised a special pair of hounds for the job. He became known as the Bloodhound and was feared within the region.
Unfortunately for his lord, Dyllan began to hear rumors. Rumors said that the lord was having men and women kidnapped and fed to his hounds. The rumors also said that the governor was sending men to arrest Dyllan and his lord for dozens of murders.
But when the govenor’s men came, the lord proclaimed that he had never had anyone kidnapped but he did know of the murders. He said that he feared for his life and that if he had brought the authorities in that he was afraid Dyllan would kill him as well. The authorities believed the lord and went to arrest Dyllan, without success.
Dyllan had already fled with his dogs into woods he knew so well and disappeared. Only one of the men sent by the governor ever returned from the woods alive. Dyllan seemed to have vanished, though rumor said that whenever anyone disappeared it was Dyllan who had snatched them up for one of his hunts.
Five years later, the lord awoke to crackling of a campfire and Dyllan sitting a few feet away. Dyllan thanked him for introducing him to the greatest of game, but that someone had promised him never ending hunts in exchange for his lord’s head. But Dyllan was still a sport. He would let the lord try to escape. He only had to survive for one day...
Speed:
100%
Attack:
The Bloodhound’s base attack is a swing of his rifle butt.
His “lunge” attack forces him to stop in place for 1.5 seconds and fires a round from his rifle which can penetrate one wall of soft barriers such as planks of wood, glass, or straw. The Bloodhound then reloads his rifle for 3 seconds but can move while reloading.
Moris:
The Bloodhound laughs and kicks the survivor in the ribs. The Survivor gets on all four and begins to crawl away as the Bloodhound whistles. A few moments later two hounds run up and begin to tear into the survivor. The Bloodhound whistles again after the survivor is dead and the hounds run off.
Power:
On the Trail:
The Bloodhound can see the footsteps of survivors. Running survivor footsteps remain for 6 seconds. Walking survivors footsteps remain for 4 seconds. Sneaking survivors footsteps remain for 2 seconds.
The blood and scratch marks leave behind are twice as bright and last twice as long.
Release the Hounds:
30 seconds after a chase has ended, but only when not in a chase, The Bloodhound can use this ability to summon a hound. The hound runs off, following the trail of the last survivor the Bloodhound was in a chase with. I’d hound catches the survivor, it latches onto their leg and slows their speed by 30%.
Perks
The Most Dangerous Game:
Your confidence grows as you bring down those who know you’re hunting them.
Each survivor brought into a dying state increases your terror radius by 2/5/10m. All alerts and trails created by survivors last for an additional 1/2/3 seconds.
Pack Hunters:
The pack is strong together, but grows much weaker whenever a member is taken away. You know how best to exploit this weakness.
Survivors start each trial with an additional 10/20/30% speed to all actions, and move 2/5/10% faster.
Whenever a survivor is sacrificed, each survivor loses 5/10/15% speed to all actions, and move 2/3/5% slower.
Hex - Thrill of the Hunt:
The experienced hunter knows that their games will look for ways to hinder their predator. And a good hunter will provide the prey with what looks like something they need.
Survivors The map gains six dull totems. Whenever a survivor cleanses a totem, they gain a token. Whenever a survivor begins to run, for every token they have, their aura is revealed for 1/2/3 seconds.

Good work, but Thrill of the Hunt is already a hex totem. Also, the actual perk may last too long. An 18 second aura reveal is a bit OP.
Additionally The Most Dangerous Game is too OP. The previous Predator only lasted 3 seconds, and distressing doesn't raise the terror radius by as much, and that is all it does. . I would instead make it "While a survivor is in the dying start, you gain X benefits".
Love the reference though, Zaroff.

Wait, is the perk "The most dangerous game" named after the book?
