Does The Entity Enjoy Slugging Matches?
…What little information we have was collected by a mysterious character by the name of The Observer, who put forth his own theories.
“The Entity is the cosmic embodiment of evil,” he states, in a log titled Arcus 142. “Back home we witnessed how its very presence turns worlds inside out… how it seems to remove or extinguish any sense of empathy or compassion within communities… how it brings people to the brink of madness and… well… pushes them in.”
An interesting theory to be sure, driving him to the conclusion that The Entity sustains itself on the emotions of its prey, thereby creating a cycle that facilitates that process.
…
Dead by Daylight’s gameplay revolves around a cycle of Trials, in which Killers hunts Survivors with the aim of sacrificing them to The Entity. Survivors can thwart these efforts by escaping through a pair of gates, only to find themselves right back where they started.
But what are the significance, and greater implications, of this process? Consider the various emotion each victim must experience over the course of a Trial. The thrill of the hunt. The highs of escape. A fleeting hope like a surge of electricity. The sick satisfaction whenever the light leaves a Survivor’s eyes.
It’s speculated that everything they feel over the course of a Trial somehow sustains The Entity , though many questions remain. Does it derive a cruel pleasure in the suffering of its chosen? Or is it simply feeding without thought, as a whale might feast on plankton? And perhaps most intriguingly – are its victims chosen for a reason?
I read this and think that the Entity would surely prefer prolonged Trials rife with terror and despair over a Ghoul swiftly slugging a squad of sorry SoloQs, supplying a scant supper of suffering.

Not necessarily. Hope is its tastiest meal, so checkmates are a bit sour. If anything, I think the Entity would prefer slugged survivors have a chance at recovering, small enough to not be common, but just enough to keep them going. Kinda like what the 4% used to be before it got abused into the ground for the opposite reason.

I recall someone mentioning bloodpoints representing actions the Entity ‘likes’. No idea if that was a dev or a fan, though.
Either way, if survivors end up with low points, then the Entity is probably not that big of a fan.

Bloodpoints and Emblems basically. It shows how much the Entity is entertained from the match. Which is why camping Survivors and going for a low amount of Hooks grants not many Emblems. Or bleeding them out grants barely any Bloodpoints.
Same goes for Survivor, just pushing out Gens and escaping grants bad Emblems. Granted, the latter is not really possible anymore, unless there was a big matchmaking fail.
Overall the Entity wants a close match, with the Killer toying with the Survivors before killing them. But nowadays it does not really matter anymore what the Entity wants.

Unbreakabill should be base kit. Slugging for the 4k is toxic gameplay.
Wasting 4 minutes of my time is abhorrent.
Some of us can't waste time.
If I only have time for 2 games in a day it's extremely frustrating when the killer is exerting false pressure.
Good killers don't need to tunnel, camp, or slug to exert pressure.2 -
then should bloodwarden be basekit aswel? no need for survivors to stay in the match during EGC

Blood Warden activates on hook, therefore there is a reason: to save the hooked survivor.

This would not achieve anything.
Either Survivors will simply wait until all are safe before opening the Exit Gates OR they will just go out immediatly. The only reason why Bloodwarden gets Kills is because it can surprise people, but if every game has Bloodwarden, it will not surprise anyone.
In general I never understand why people think that "Bloodwarden Basekit!" or "Exit Gates should regress" or similar things will help Killers. All it does is that Killers would get less Kills in Endgame, since Survivors are less incentivized to try to rescue that one person on the Hook. So turning a 1K into more will just not happen anymore.

It's a monkey paw wish. People don't realize how it will hurt them until it happens.
