I love the new Halloween event.

This is so much better. I love the colors too.

This post is full of irony

The new Haunted event is a total disaster. Why did they have to remove the Void and change the color scheme so drastically, to the point where no one can enjoy the event anymore?

No one knows where bhvr got this alleged "negative feedback" from. The community suspects two entirely different reasons instead:

    1. It’s the easiest excuse for laziness: rather than fine-tuning the system, they simply scrapped the feature altogether. It saves the developers both development time and server capacity.
    2. The vocal minority on the official forum: unfortunately, bhvr has a tendency to pay excessive attention to a handful of loud voices on their own forum, people who complain whenever an event distracts from the standard gameplay loop.

The fact that they’ve removed the most popular part of the event by far (the Void), clumsily dumped the remnants onto the standard map, and then tried to "mask" the whole thing with that migraine-inducing orange filter makes this year’s event a textbook example of developing content that completely misses the mark with one's own community.

For quite some time now, it has seemed as though bhvr is attempting to sabotage itself from within and destroy dbd, ever since the anti-cheat disaster, it feels as if every single decisions only makes the situation worse, as if bhvr actually wants fewer and fewer people to play the game.

And that is incredibly sad; dbd is the heart and soul of bhvr, they should rather cherish and nurture it more, together with the community :(
