Rewards for Player Level?
We've had the Player Level for many years now and I've always wondered: for what reason?
Back in the days you could see it all the time in the top right corner at least - if I remember correctly - but it never had a special function. Now you have to go into your Player Profile just to see it.
So, what's the point of it all? The progress doesn't mean anything.
How about the idea of rewarding the Player Level in some way?
What about 5.000 - 10.000 Shards or 500.000 - 1.000.000 Bloodpoints for every Devotion level for example?
I'm close to Devotion level 37 which could be equivalent to - let's say - 5,000 hours (?) of gameplay which has taken many years to reach.

I'm at devotion 40 myself, but don't really see a reason for them to continue with this system. Theres never really been a reward for reaching higher levels, and no way to show others what level you reached. I'm not even sure if each level requires more xp to finnish, its so out of the way that you barely notice it is even in the game.
Its only purpose at all so far is the primary way of earning Iridescent Shards Outside of quests. They might as well remove the level system and just make it a repeating xp bar like the final infinite rift reward.
There wouldn't even be a reason to compensate players for that kind of change as devotion levels were never really something players went out of their way to earn, just gameplay time itself.

Oh yeah, true. I had totally forgotten that you already earn shards that way - but yeah, the Player Level / Devotion doesn't mean anything. We could just easily be rewarded with shards after every match even without the Player Level existing - it's just a number. That's why I'd like to give it a meaning.
