Need to decentivize tunneling

As a killer who started playing survivor the number of killers who tunnel constantly without going for available other survs is really a problem. Can yall add a BP penalty for something like that simalear to the chasing by hooked survivor? Perhaps a 1 screen etiquette guide for new players? I feel this would help the experience of the game for survivors while not affecting balance as good and successful killers dont tunnel for the most part, and the community is in general consensus that it is rude and unfun.

Etiquette? People will still tunnel you because it's the easiest way to get kills. I mean earlier the devs did just help make your wish. There is no really etiquette in the game

And thats part of the problem. And maybe the easiest way to get kills, but not the best way to get BP or elbems which really on chase and gen pressure mechanics. Its pretty disheartening to play a game of survivor every once in awhile just to have a Myers wait immediatly for your dumb teammate to unhook you and instead of chasing the idiot Meg, he just chases you down anyways.

What I am trying to suggest is a way to get SOME, not all obviously, players to change their tactics which will be for the better experience of all players. For instance if people realize they get less BP for tunneling or even get a BP reward for hitting a different survivor they might do that instead!

If you want longer games, the issue is that survivors can basically hit end game in under 5 minutes.

The killer needs time to enjoy the hunt, the chase, etc. Lacking that, they must thin out the numbers so they can have more time.

Believe me, I would love to enjoy chasing everyone, not tunneling (some times I don't have a choice since it's the only person I see, or I don't want to break a chase) and all those lovely point gaining activities, but I never am sure I have the time.
