The Change isn't even out yet guys!

You all need to calm down!

Let's look at it for a second -
1. There is now a guaranteed 4 hooks, Mori is much more potent with this change.
2. It becomes more of a late game perk, unless they are all burned before the generators finished
3. Yes, it can be a very potent late game perk, combined with Adrenaline and BT it will be a nuisance
4. This really punishes tunnelers
5. There is a time limit, you can slug and wait if you want, or better yet, you can go after the other survivors

As I understand it, the perk is active for 60 seconds, if you ignore the guy that got unhooked, decisive is literally a non factor. As per usual, you can only use decisive once a match.

However, I would like some confirmation on this suspicion of mine. Say the person unhooked gets slugged and does not get to use decisive. Is it then disabled forever? Or does it come back again, since they technically did not successfully use/miss it? This is the game changer for me.

If it is disabled completely as if you had used it, then tbh, it's not that strong a perk anymore. However, if the opposite is true, and it consistently becomes active off of hook until you miss or hit, then this could be some trouble.

I also dislike how the obsession mechanic is being changed, sure it can vary game play, but why go through the trouble?

However, you all need to chill, it's not in the game yet, it will be in the upcoming PTB so we can give feedback and I trust the DEVs more now than the Freddy Era as they have been listening more which I am thankful for.

We will get to test it out and see just how strong it really is. So killers stop complaining and survivors stop gloating. There are numerous things to be tested and figured out. Just be patient.

This tends to say if you dont attempt to use the perk like now it can be saved for the next hook.

"Do you lose the chance to use DS if you aren't using it on the first carry?

No you do not, the perk is disabled only when you miss or succeed the DS skillcheck."

It does need to be tested on the PTB but for me on paper right now I do not see this change as the big nerf others are seeing.

Positives for the new DS, easier skill check, everyone can use it instantly once activated (no dribbling), killers never know if you have it, can be kept for end game or third hook, killer may not tunnel you.

Negatives, need to be hooked at least once and shorter stun (0.57s down from 2.28s to 1.71s with Enduring).

And this is not touching on the changes to the obessison perks, STBFL for one means unless you want to lose a stack each person who DS'd you will get away.

It still has the potential to be OP in my opinion but I'm up for trying it. At least it has gone from a toxic perk used to bully the killer to a defensive perk used to protect the survivor from tunneling.

Really the biggest losers with this change are...

    • Toxic survivors who want to bully the killer
    • Killers that never give players a chance to leave the hook (Looking at the facecamping wraiths out there)

So I guess that's something good.

IDC one way or the other. They won't make it off the first hook regardless of win or loss. I'd rather take my chances with 3 survivors and 2 gens left than having to run every loop perfectly and deal with 4 x 3 hooks each. And now they won't outplay that first hook. I'll take my stack and keep it moving. Most of them are remedial anyway and sit around the hook even in a camp.

    This is a HUGE buff.

Anyone that says otherwise has no game sense, particularly with regards to the endgame.

Well much like getting kicked in the balls, you don't actually have to experience it to know you won't like it.

How does it buff endgame?? It's practically the same... You pick someone up, they DS you, they walk out. What's the difference from before?

Bit of a stretch, but fair enough. My killer games don't usually make it to the end because I usually kill 3 to 4 of the survivors 8/10 games, before all the generators are done.

Can't be just me. If your good enough pre end game, end game means nothing.

On top of removing dribbling, it combos powerfully with Borrowed Time. Instead of BT basically trading the hooked person for the rescuer, it can help ensure both players escape without the killer being able to stop it. Like most things it'll only really be potent with coordinated SWF groups.

    1) There is in no way a garunteed 4 hooks. Moris are no more or less potent than with current DS.
    2) True
    3) True
    4) Quite the opposite. Tunnelers will be the ones who burn DS before exit gates open aka when DS is at its most powerful.
    5) There is absolutely no difference between slugging now and slugging after the change comes. It will be just as useful a strategy either way. Yes, you can go after other survivors, but that's also exactly the same as now.

Saying that we shouldn't be judging DS changes before they're implemented is like saying we shouldn't judge anti-vaccinaters before their children live out their lives. If you're intelligent enough to deduce the results correctly, judgement is equally as valid as waiting for the results you deduced.

I can see Racoon's point to be fair.

You can no longer dribble who was the obsession and everyone can instantly use it now instead of having to wiggle, even far off gates if paired with BT, unhooked hit(BT), hit again downed, guaranteed DS escape or crawl out exit.

It really isn't as strong you are all making it out to be, pretty sure of that.

Some people are fairly reasonable, others absurd.

I personally do not believe it is any stronger the only thing that becomes "stronger" is the late game, nor is it that much weaker, it will just now be used differently.

    Just wait...
