As this Reddit post by u/Darkwing_Dork says, the Exposed status effect is misleading, and may lead new players to believe that they can be seen more easily or through walls, instead of being one-hit-downed. A proposed change to this name would be calling it "Vulnerable" or "Weakened."

    When I first started playing I thought that's what it did. That it revealed my location to the killer or something.
