Obsession Perks 101 (Remastered)
Object of Obsession: (If you're the obsession)
Unlocks potential in one's aura reading ability. Your hook sacrifice progress is 20% faster than normal, but you'll have 8/9/10 tokens that can be used to reveal the killer's location. If you have a token, whenever you're looking at the killer's direction while crouching, you'll see the killer's location for 3 seconds and consume a token.
Increases your chances of becoming the killer's obsession.
Object of Obsession: (If you're NOT the obsession)
Unlocks potential in one's aura reading ability. You'll have 1/2/3 tokens that can be used to reveal the killer's location. If you have a token, whenever you're looking at the killer's direction while crouching, you'll see the killer's location for 3 seconds and consume a token.
Increases your chances of becoming the killer's obsession.
Sole Survivor: (If you're the obsession)
You're shrouded with darkness whenever more and more survivors fall victim to the killer. Your location is revealed to the killer for 5/4/3 seconds whenever a survivor sacrificed or killed. However, every survivor's death also grants immunity to the killer's dominance.
-3 survivors remaining: Your aura and location is now hidden to the killer if the killer is within a 20/22/24 meter range to you. Scratch marks from you will now disappear 2 seconds faster than normal.
-2 survivors remaining: Your aura and location is now hidden to the killer if the killer is within a 40/44/48 meter range to you. Scratch marks from you will now disappear 4 seconds faster than normal.
-You're the sole survivor: Your aura, location, and scratch marks cannot be seen by the killer.
Increases your chances of becoming the killer's obsession.
Sole Survivor: (If you're NOT the obsession)
You're shrouded with darkness whenever more and more survivors fall victim to the killer. Every survivor's death grants immunity to the killer's dominance and powers.
-3 survivors remaining: Your aura and location is now hidden to the killer if the killer is within a 10/12/14 meter range to you. Scratch marks from you will now disappear 1 seconds faster than normal.
-2 survivors remaining: Your aura and location is now hidden to the killer if the killer is within a 20/24/28 meter range to you. Scratch marks from you will now disappear 3 seconds faster than normal.
-You're the sole survivor: Your aura and location is now hidden to the killer if the killer is within a 30/38/56 meter range to you. Scratch marks from you will now disappear 5 seconds faster than normal.
Increases your chances of becoming the killer's obsession.

I'm slightly confused. If you are not the Obsession, do you not get the hook progression penalty?0

Interesting...this idea has potential IMO.0

Basically, let's say you have Object of Obsession but you're NOT the obsession. You ended up using all 3 of your tokens given by the perk, but after a while, you used DS and now you're the obsession! Now, all of your obsession perks that you have equipped been changed to the obsession version! Therefore, the obsession version of Object of Obsession has 9 tokens but you previously used 3 tokens so you'll be at 6 tokens! However, you'll also get the hook penalty so it's not all good, there's still a penalty to becoming the obsession!
Vice versa if you're the obsession and someone else used DS. You'll lose 9 tokens until you're the obsession once again! Therefore, if you had 5 tokens and someone else used DS. You'll lose 9 tokens and you're now stuck with -4 tokens (but the perk will say 0 just to not confuse you).
Perk tiers can affect how much tokens you'll have.0 -
I don't like this OoO but i do like the Sole Survivor.

I made this rework in mind with the new DS. I'll be happy to explain how the new DS will affect my rework!

Late one what if you are the obsession use no tokens then lose obsession and after a will you use your DS in order to be the obsession again ?

This is a great change. Though I think the negative effect of the perks should be different for each one, just to keep it unique and to balance out the positive effect depending on the power level.
I would also like to see a reverse obsession perk that makes it less likely to be the obsession. This would of course be overridden by using any obsession perks though.

Formula:
3 (You're NOT the obsession) or 9 (You're the obsession) - 0 to 9 (tokens used) = tokens remaining.
If at one point you used DS, use the formula again to see how many tokens you have.
____________________________________________
Example:
You used 2 tokens, someone used DS, you used a token, then you used DS.
9 tokens from the obsession version of Object of Obsession. You used 2 tokens so you're left with 7 tokens! Now someone used DS and took your obsession status.
3 (You're NOT the obsession) - 2 (tokens used) = 1 tokens remaining.
You ended up using your final token so now you're left with 0 tokens! However, you used DS so you gained back your obsession status!
9 (You're the obsession) - 3 (tokens used) = 6 tokens remaining.
Now you're left with 6 tokens!0 -

Well, here's how that will work, it's not complicated!
Formula:
3 (You're NOT the obsession) or 9 (You're the obsession) - 0 to 9 (tokens used) = tokens remaining. If at one point you used DS, use the formula again to see how many tokens you have.
Example:
You used 2 tokens, someone used DS, you used a token, then you used DS.9 tokens from the obsession version of Object of Obsession.
Now you're left with 6 tokens!
I see ok that may work and i like it ( for now)

I like them but the 20% faster hook progress is not necessary and is not good for the game. if the killer knows your using one of the perks(by watching the bar under your icon) than its not a bad idea to camp you. So OoO needs a different debuff and when your not the obsession you should get slightly more tokens but have a restricted aura reading range. similar thing with sole survivor but imo it would be fine without a debuff if you reduce the numbers slightly or if you want you could give it a debuff that impacts how they work as a team; gives you a gen repair debuff that gets worse after each survivor death?

Thank you for the feedback, I'm not use to receiving this much feedback so again, thank you!
Why did I add a hook penalty?
I added a hook penalty because if you're gonna be hard to find, then you should be severely punished for playing so poorly, ya know? However, I wouldn't be opposed to have the penalty for Sole Survivor be something else such as whenever a survivor dies, you're exposed for x/y/z.
I'll think about some alternatives for the risk of using Sole Survivor.0 -
Interesting ideas for both perks. I like them. The only thing I'd say is I think 20% faster hook progression is still too low of a penalty for Sole Survivor. You're basically invisible and impossible to track.

Instead of faster hook progression, how about seeing the location of the obsession whenever a survivor dies for 3 seconds? This would be immune to Sole Survivor's blocking abilities to help combat the potential stealth the survivor will have late game.
5/4/3 and I'm hopping on.

My Goal: Obsession Perks should grant you more power than your typical survivor perk but at a cost of something else. They should be risky but rewarding if you can overcome the risk factor. Both of these changes seem like nerfs imo, OoO is fine how it is, reducing it to a token perk that would most likely go off whenever you decide to crouch would make this perk so much worse. The faster hook bleedout bar would make this perk even worse, it's just a worse Alert. Maybe it could be an idea for a new perk? The Sole Survivor change sounds alright, if SS didn't work with the current OoO. The 56 meter range is quite pathetic for that build and even if the idea you proposed for OoO went through it would significantly reduce SS usability, not to mention revealing your aura to the killer completely removes the point of the perk. Plus with this new SS, stacking it with Lightweight would completely remove scratch marks even before your 3 teammates are sacrificed. Also, how would Distortion and Lockers work with this SS? Would they hide the aura when someone dies, and would SS aura reading range apply to it? Honestly both ideas just make the perks far more situational and go against what each was designed to do. OoO is supposed to be a massive trade-off perk where you give the killer ability to know where you are, but you know where they are and can counter play around that to try and trick them. SS is supposed to be a perk that reduces aura reading and it goes hand in hand with OoO when both are at tier 3, it's not supposed to be a perk that actively tells the killer where you are; that's OoO's job, but you have the decision in the matter rather than relying on what the killer does.
