-6 Month Killer Concept: The Torturer-

I've been working on 9 Killer concepts for the past 6 months. The Torturer was the first idea I made. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to skip the lore.


“ I saw a man with many scars while I was walking through the fog. He looks like he had undergone much pain in his previous life, but also loves to inflict it. It’s very curious to see a man cause as much damage as he’s received in his past. He has this way to torture me even when he’s not around. Whilst under his influence, it’s hard to do the simplest of things. This… Torturer… is best to be avoided, as not to have a tough time escaping. ”

Lore: Dan Fischer grew up in a military family. His father was in the military and so was his grandfather. Growing up, Dan also wanted to go into the military. He saw his father and grandfather as heroes. Dan would play in the yard and play army with his toy soldiers. His Dad would also play with him a lot before he went off to war again. However, when Dan’s father came back from war, he wasn’t the same. War had scarred him. He would wake up in the middle of the night screaming and duck every time a truck backfired. Soon Dan’s father lost his mind and would beat Dan and his mother almost every day for little reasons. When Dan would come home late, his father would be there waiting and then interrogate him. When Dan’s father wouldn’t get the answer he wanted, he would burn his arm to find out if Dan was hiding something. Dan always came to school with a new scar and a new story. Dan couldn’t take it anymore. He remembered the days that he and his father would play in the yard and thought what would happen if his father wasn’t around anymore. Eventually, Dan’s father was found dead in a car on the side of the road. Police suspected Dan had poisoned one of his father’s bottles but there wasn’t enough proof to convict. So, Dan’s father’s case became cold. After some time, Dan joined the army where he met his new family, his squad. They treated each other like brothers and Dan finally learned to trust other people again. While Dan was in the army, he noticed that he was fond of causing pain to his enemies. Dan realized why his father always caused pain to he and his mother, it made him feel good. Pain was a new drug to Dan. Once while Dan and his squad were doing surveillance on an insurgent town, they were ambushed, and Dan’s entire squad was killed, his new family murdered. The insurgents took Dan and tortured him for information. But Dan had been through worse before. A year later, Dan, majority of his bones broken and hundreds of scars on his body, broke free and tortured the insurgents that had tortured him for a year. Still lusting for pain and revenge, Dan tortured and killed the rest of the people in the town. After Dan came home, the army found out what Dan did to the people there and was dishonorably discharged. Fueled with rage, Dan took a machete and killed his commanding officer and 7 other military officers. Dan was rumored to run away into the forest and was never seen again.

• Concentration
o Unlocks potential in one’s aura reading ability. If you lose a survivor during a chase, their aura is reveled to you for 1 / 2 / 3 seconds. Concentration then goes on a 60 second cooldown. (Concentration only applies to the last person you lost in a chase.)
“He’s more focused than other monsters. Once he finds you, it’ll be hard to lose him.”

• Nowhere to Hide
o Unlocks potential in one’s aura reading ability. When a survivor enters a locker 12 / 16 / 20 meters near you, their aura is reveled to you for 2 seconds.
“You can’t hide from ME!”

• Crippling Strike
o You know how to hurt your prey. Your next successful hit on a survivor causes them to be slightly hindered for 3 / 5 / 7 seconds. Crippling Strike goes on a 60 second cooldown. Haste automatically removes Crippling Strike. (Crippling Strike kicks in after the survivor hit boost. Crippling Strike can be wasted on survivors you hit into a dying state. Use strategically. This hindered effect can’t be stacked or stack on any other hindered effects.)

Tortured Mind – Even in this world Dan is fascinated by pain and torture. Tortured Mind tears at the mind of your victims and pokes at their darkest fears.

To send survivors into Tortured Mind, the Torturer must charge a clap. (Takes 2 seconds to charge)

Any survivor within a 32-meter radius near you receives Tortured Mind when you release your clap. Hooked and dying state survivors cannot receive Tortured Mind.

You can’t apply Tortured Mind again until your current victim(s) is/are released.

Survivors who have Tortured Mind:
• Cannot repair generators.
• Survivor perks are disabled until release. (Does not affect No Mither’s Broken state.)
• Make painful noises even in a healthy state.
• Have a chain around their status HUD to notify every one of that survivor’s status.
• Hear a painful scream when Torture Mind is applied to them.
• The environment turns slightly red and more sinister.

Once a survivor goes into a dying state, they automatically lose Tortured Mind.

Tortured Mind lasts 1 min and 30 seconds.

Timer still counts down while in chase.

Weapon: Machete
The Machete is the primary weapon of the Torture. A rusted blade used to cut through branches but is now used to cut through other’s skin.
• On successful hits, he wipes both sides of the blade with his hand, laughing while doing so.

• Ethnicity: American
• Speed: 115% or 4.6 m/s
• Terror Radius: 32 meters

Look Description:
• The Torturer has an extremely bearded face along with blue slightly glowing eyes. Players can choose withier he has long caveman hair with beard or bald with beard. There are scars throughout his face from torture. He wears an army jacket that has many tears in it exposing some skin and showing some underlining scars. His legs are of black combat boots and dark green pants. The pants have small rips in them.
