Noise Notifications

Am I bad person for wanting unique noise notifications for everything in the game?

Spies From the Shadows - Sound of Crow Cawing
Survivor Fast Vaults a Window - Sound of Clothing Scraping against Wood
Survivor Drops a Pallet - Sound of Wood Thudding on Dirt/Concrete, Version Depending on Tile
Hex: Thrill of the Hunt - Sound of Entity Whispers Speaking Unintelligibly
Iron Maiden - Sound of Creaking Locker
Diversion - This Is Hard ;_;
Failing a Heal Check - Sound of Survivor Scream
Failing a Generator Skill Check - Keep It the Same
Hook Sabotaged - Sound of Metal Thudding on Dirt/Concrete, Version Depending on Tile
Rancor - Sound of Wind Whistling
Tinkerer - Sound of Electricity Zapping

    Thrill of the hunt should be some sort of animal noise, maybe like a wolf’s howl? The entity whispering one may not work well if someone brings Whispers, but I like the concept! :smile:

    The thing with diversion is that it works because everything has the same sound. 

    I like the idea tho, maybe in the future they could revamp these sounds as a QoL thing.

    I thought it was done this way on purpose so that killers are kept guessing as to what it is.

    Perhaps diversion could change sound, so of there's an injured person not on hook, then it will make a healing noise, and otherwise it would be more reminicent of the nearest possable noise notification.

    Not sure how hard that would be to implement, but it would be pretty cool if you ask me :)

    The simplicity of most/all noise notifications being the same is better for the game, if you ask me. Less is More is a powerful concept.

    It really would be nice to have more unique sounds instead of almost everything sounding the same.

    My thought is that TOTH sound would be much louder, but basically gibberish speak. Like a lot of schizophrenic patients all talking over each other at the same time.

    Oh, that would be just lovely to hear at night...Just playing a nice game of DbD, heard they changed noise notifications but didn’t read the patch notes, nah, you just wanna play! You bring TOTH, don’t want ruin gone so quickly, and suddenly...HGFJFHSBEJXBXN!! You hear the voices of 20 different people just shouting random things into your ear. Long story short, you have a heart attack, you end up dying, and Mathieu comes to your funeral to tell you that you did a pretty good job... :cry:

    It should be a noise that cant be abused by survivors, at the moment you can force teh killer to mute sound....... its really awful

    The survivor could hear this noise as they are cleansing the totem.

    Aye, as it would have to be context dependent in order to 'fool' the killer into checking out the diversion.

    How about a slight ting noise as if it is hitting metal

    It would basically be a huge nerf to Diversion.
    Personally I like how they changed Spies From The Shadows, I would love if notifications from perks featured an image of what it's related to (eg a totem for TotH, a locker for Iron Maiden)
