Chapter: Frost and Iron [Killer]

Greetings survivors of the Fog! Took a bit of convincing myself to do this, given I have a bit of a nervous tendency whenever I see something even remotely close to what I am planning on doing, but here goes nothing!

Killer: The Ancient

"Beware the mountain, for those who dig deep will find naught but ruin in the shadows. The wolves are hungry and dire. Ravens watch the souls of man and judge the darkness within. Light and faith hold no sway over the Ancients' blade; for their wrath is endless and patient."

The Ancient is a towering brute of a killer, who sadly due to printer malfunctions I am unable to attach the drawings I have made of him. I wanted to make a killer based loosely off Norse mythology, weaving my own threads of ideas into the tapestry behind him. I wanted this killer to be the slowest in class due to the fact he is a lumbering brute and hits like a truck; usually relying on Bloodlust to amp his momentum in chase, while keeping his ambient power to limit a Survivors movement.

Power: Hoarfrost

The main part of this perk relies on the ambient passive nature of it, introducing a new infliction called Frost Bite; acting sort of like Madness due to it building up in stacks while Survivors lingering in the terror radius. The longer in the radius, the faster it builds; while an immediate stack is given upon being struck. Add-ons can give a stack as well, but those are more towards the Iridescent tier. Unlike Madness however, there is no passive regression, instead the stacks are ticked backwards when Hooked or recovering from the Downed state; be it escaping a Killers grasp or picking yourself up with help or perk.

-1 Stack: Survivors suffer from a minor decrease in healing and repair speeds. 1 or 2 percent at most. Nothing to really worry about persay, but enough to be cautious.

-2 Stacks: Increased penalty from previous, going up to 3 or 4 percent.

-3 Stacks: This is when Survivors should pay heed to their stacks. Capping out at 5 percent hindrance, this also results in survivors spreading their affliction to others during healing; at a slower rate than the Killer.

-4 Stacks: An immediate 20 seconds of Exhaustion triggers at this level, due to the overwhelming cold built up in the Survivors body.

-5 Stacks: 30 seconds of Exhaustion. Don't worry, wouldn't reset the Exhaustion given from the killer, but will reset any exhaustion triggered from Survivor Perks; figure they would be their own separate entity, given it would be caused by Hoarfrost.

The Ancient is an Obsession based Killer in their perks. Relying on singling out the Obsession, most of the perks give advantages to the Killer while hindering Survivors.

_______

Perk One: Drums of the Forlorn

"I can hear them. The drums. Why wont they stop!"

Tier 1: When there is one generator left, the Obsession constantly hears a deep drum beat; hiding the heartbeat that a Survivor hears when the Killer is close.

Tier 2: When there is two generators left, the Obsession hears a much louder drum beat; hiding both heartbeat and muffling the sound of generators being repaired.

Tier 3: The Obsession is plagued by drums, growing louder as the generators are completed starting at three remaining; their aura being revealed to the Killer when in Terror Radius between 10 and 30 meters upon the doors being powered.

_______

Perk Two: Eyes of Shadow

"Bare is the back of the brotherless, for eyes watch the alone for weakness"

Tier 1: Totems reveal Survivor auras for three seconds when a Survivor starts to interact with them.

Tier 2: Totems reveal Survivor auras for four seconds when a Survivor starts to interact with them.

Tier 3: Totems reveal Survivor auras for four seconds and Exposes them when cleansing a Hex totem for ten seconds.

_______

I'll be honest, I have no clue on what the third perk would be. I'm struggling with ideas as I don't want anything to be too overpowered and the like. Let me know what you all think! I will try to eventually put the pictures up when my printer co-operates; unless weird phone to computer transferred images would work.

I'm curious as to what the add-ons will do. Right now he's like Doctor but the effects from the Frostbite aren't really anything to worry about. They got a tiny action speed penalty, a tiny movement speed debuff, and sometimes Exhaustion which won't effect Survivors who don't have Exhaustion perks. The part where a Survivor can spread it to others was really cool but the effects don't do much and makes this Killer worse than Doctor. Doctor's Madness gives him locations, illusions, can stop them from doing everything basically so no competition. So this got me thinking do the add-ons provide other effects and if so take that part out because add-on dependant Killers are annoying lol.

Anyway I'm not trying to rag on your idea, I think it's really cool and could be better. I'm excited to see your drawings if you get them uploaded, a lot of effort went into this and that's awesome.
