Am I the only freak that thinks the game experience would be much better with 5-8 perk slots?
I feel frustrated I cant complete the builds I wanted cuz we have so many perks to choose
When DBD was born we got X perk slots, now that we got x7 perks we dont have the equivalent x7 perk slots
And in 5+ years we will have like x12 perks than when DBD was born but keeping the same x4 slots????
It is a matter of time that we will receive more perk slots, otherwise is broken AF

yep you are

Killers could do with a fifth, but that's it.
4 -
Survivors are more than fine with 4. Killers though I think could stand to gain a few more slots, particularly especially against swf.

i think all perks in the game need to be stronger, so it makes more of a difference to the game. Right now most killers run the same perks, but even if they didn't the only noticeable difference is it would be easier (at they aren't running the meta). If all perks were much stronger, each perk would have a big impact on the game, making lots of game changing perk combinations, that change everyone's playstyle

You dont get it
when we got in +5 year 122 surv perks (exactly, yes), do you still wanna choose just 4????!!
to show it more grapically, choose only 4:

This is a stupid idea. Sorry but Thank U next.

I dont really understand u guys, so i am the freak

i would say max 5 perk slots anything more than that and you are looking at way to op perk builds 5 is already pushing it for survivors. I think it would be neat if each killer had 4 perk slots they could use any perk in hex or otherwise and one bonus perk slot that can only be used for a hex perk only....just a thought

1 of your own teachables plus 4 perks of your choosing (of course no double picks) would be how I'd test a fith perkslot first. It would also add survivor differences.

I don't know about extra perk slots but the game needs something different imo. More perk slots could help a lot.
Maybe they should give more perk slots but with restrictions like you need to take an alturism perk. I always wanted an extra perk slot for killers for a hex perk.
Also, another good idea was that every perk had their own unique points so if you choose very powerful perks, you can equip 3 or 4, if you choose relatively weak perks, you can choose 6-7. That system is a lot better imo.
1 -
You still dont get it
Do you still want 4 perk slots if you have 5000 to choose? If so, why? My brain is so limited
0 -
Imagine unlimited perk slots and everyone running everything and exaustion perks are separate.
0 -
I imagine a gameplay with more minigames (aka perks) making my game experience more complete
Currently I have Deliverance, DS, DH and Bond
But DAMN I would enjoy more also with SC, sabotage, unbreakable and borrowed time
More perks = more fun
So I am the freak?
0 -
No I think it would be fun but hard to balance.
0 -
Disagree since everyone plays equally
And regarding maths, when DBD was born we got x perk slots for x perks but now same x slots for x7 perks, it's a matter of exact science of maths equivalency to increase the number of perks
Any mathematician here to confirm that? No need

Yeah I think you are

Undersrood, I will never understood

I think it would be cool if characters had their teachable perks built in. Sure it would be a bit broken but it would be kinda cool. Freddy with built in Fire Up, Remember Me and Blood Warden, Leatherface with built in Knock out, BBQ and Franklin's, Claudette with her built in perks, Meg with her built in perks ect. It would make sense since tehy are THEIR teachable perks. I can already imagine hag with 3 built in totems and a full normal build lol. Pig would do great against rare sabo squads too

If we had 8 perks the game would become super dull quickly. That’s why we have something called; a perk build.
If you want a certain playstyle you can use perks that can be compatible with each other.

I'd pick the first knife, the first spoon, the first fork, and if I needed a fourth, the cake cutter in the middle of the bottom row in case there's cake.
That was easy. What was the point of your comparison?
0 -
When u have 122 surv perks in 5 years, then you can still have playstyle builds of 8 perks,
do you understand how big number is 122 vs 4?
0 -
In order to make a compelling case for raising the number of available perks, I'd say you have to successfully argue that the game's balance would not be damaged/broken by adding more perk slots.
1 -
Of course this will not since everyone has the same opportunity to counter with same number of perks
Maths is an exact science, and 122 vs 4 will make increase the number of slots by common sense
Otherwise, you simply cannot enjoy the game enough as you could with just a choice of 4 vs 122,
Time will aknowledge me if DBD lives 5yrs more in some moment

cuz it isn't about how many perks you run its about how you choose your "perk build" doesn't mattter if there is a million perks to choose from the point is to pick 4 of them any 4 of them for a particular play style you are going for, the perks aren't meant to guarantee you a win or make you a God. Just cuz there are more perks to choose from doesn't change the fact that the point is to pick 4 perks that you believe go together well and will help you out in your match.
0 -
Nope it does matter; if now you have 7 perks to choose 4 for a "second chance" build, is not the same as if you have 17 (after 122 perks) for the same "second chance" build
0 -
Need to chill the ######### out dude lol. Go play some Survivor to chill your nerves
1 -
why do you need a 2nd chance build? why is your first build not working?
0 -
It doesn't matter how many Perks exist if you don't have the game balanced around having more than 4 Perks per character.
And it's not.
And it's not going to be.
Though i kinda wish Killers had a 5th, Hex-exclusive slot. 😝

Is just an example as "gen rush" build or "sprinter" build, plz do not change the subject
0 -
Using cutlery is a bad analogy. Imagine Survivors being able to pick every single second-chance Perk and some other goodies. No thanks.

Your argument is weak af, just saying is not going to be is just spamish
0 -
Just because everyone will get 5 perks does not mean that the balance will not be damaged/broken.
0 -
We only get more perks because devs uses them as a way to deal with with some annoying game mechanics instead of fixing the core game, in a way it's some kind of band aid
0 -
I don't need to make a strong argument when you don't make a strong reason why we should have more than 4 Perk slots.
And yes, i have read your main reason why. 🙂
0 -
If u don't consider the exact science of maths equivalency a strong argument, then u should repeat highschool
0 -
"It's balanced because everyone can do it" is a really weak argument.
0 -
With 122 perks, the 4-slot system won't prevail, I bet all of my money on that
0 -
Doing awesome math doesn't necessarily make your point any stronger.
You're still missing out on a big part of your idea, which you STILL fail to address.
0 -
U fail to get the point and surrender to maths equivalency
0 -
Please elaborate on what "maths equivlancy" is.
0 -
Yet here you are, STILL not addressing the big part of your idea.
0 -
For the 90th time
1. When DBD was born we got X perks and X slots
2. Now we have 7X perks but NOT 7X slot (equivalency fail)
3. In the 5th year with exactly 122 surv perks we still have 4 slots (equivalency epic fail)
4. I bet all of my money we will have more slots when reach 122 perks (signed on 3rd March 2019)
Do you wanna have limited fun with 4 slots from 122? Answer!!! Y/N
0 -
But you haven't proven that X perks and Y slots are mathematically linked to each other.
0 -
Dude repeat high school
0 -
I'm not following your logic. Sure, there were X perks and Y perk slots at the start of the game, but nowhere has it been demonstrated that the number of perk slots for a character was dependent on the number of available perks in the game.
0 -
Sometimes I talk with my friends about this.
We end up saying "yeah, i think it's a bad idea". You know, a good survivor could become a god with, let's say:
-Quick and quiet
-Dance with me
-Lithe
-Light feet
-Iron will
-Alert
Those 6 would make you Houdini lol. It would be ablast, sure, but imagine really good players running that, multiply it x4 and solve the equation.
It equals to uninstalling the game :/
0 -
It is totally dependent:
DbD was born: have 7 choices for a second chance build to place in 4 slots
In 5 years: have 17 choices for a second chance build to place in 4 slots!!?!!?
0 -
Where is your proof that it is dependent? Source? Dev statement? Anything that is more than just you declaring that it is?
0 -
I paste it again:
DbD was born: have 7 choices for a second chance build to place in 4 slots
In 5 years: have 17 choices for a second chance build to place in 4 slots!!?!!?
0 -
How does that demonstrate dependency?
