I swear, I'm not trying to rip off the upcoming Chapter 11 with this. I've actually been thinking about it for a while now. I wasn't going to post it because it's still a bit half-baked, but after seeing the teaser I know I've got to get it out before it officially becomes redundant!

NEW KILLER: THE OVERSEER

Ezekiel Roth was born into wealth, as many generation of Roths were before him, but he multiplied that wealth with several canny investments into up and coming technologies: the automobile, the aeroplane, the motion picture. Despite this acumen, Roth was not best known for how his earned his money, but how he gave it. Roth, a deeply religious man, figured a higher power had given him this wealth to help the less fortunate. He gave generously to many causes and was most famous for founding and overseeing Roth's Institute for the Blind, devoted to training the disabled in becoming productive members of society.

As the decades wore on, Roth continued to earn and to give, an outspoken proponent of physical and spiritual health. One day, however, after months of dizziness and headaches, Roth's highly-paid doctors told him he was losing his eyes. In a few years, he would be blind. The media suggested this showed the wisdom of Roth's pious devotion: that Roth's generosity had created the resources that he, himself, would now rely upon. See how his faith was rewarded?

But Roth knew it couldn't be right. This couldn't be happening to him; he could never be one of those pitiful wretches with his hand out, begging for help from the more fortunate. He had a more noble purpose, he must have. He prayed endlessly for the restoration of his sight, but he was not answered. In desperation, he turned to other, ever more obscure faiths, promising anything for salvation. Finally, something answered back. He would have his vision again - but it would take sacrifice.

One morning, the registrants arrived at Roth's Institute for the Blind, but there were no staff to provide training for them. Finally, one used the phone at the front desk to call the police. Two officers arrived to find a group of the blind milling around in the lobby, unaware of the receptionist's corpse seated behind the desk or the bodies littering the halls. At first, they believed it was a gruesome kidnapping, since they never found Ezekiel Roth's body, but months passed with no ransom note. The millionaire philanthropist had simply disappeared.

Speed: 4.6 m/s (115%)

Terror radius: 32m

Appearance: A lean, old man with bandages over his eyes and a walking cane for a weapon. His clothes would look expensive but filthy; probably either silk pajamas or a suit of the type an old man would wear in the 1950s (so possibly dating to decades earlier than that).

Special: The Overseer cannot be blinded, does not project a red stain, and has a default FOV of 102 degrees (equal to Shadowborn at third rank).

POWER

When playing as the Overseer, all objects and level geometry have a white outline (like survivors in the dream state when viewed by the Nightmare), and all textures are black. Auras are shown as normal. Survivors, scratch marks, and blood are not visible by default; however, survivors' auras are visible within 48m if they are running, 24m if they are walking, and 8m if they are crawling or moving while crouched.

Pressing M2 will cause the Overseer to stand still and tap his cane on the ground twice, which reveals the aura of all survivors in line of sight for one second. This ability is blocked by walls, vaults, dropped pallets, and large objects such as generators and lockers, but not foliage such as corn or shrubs. If survivors are affected by the cane tap, they are deafened for three seconds and their field of view is moderately reduced for three seconds (if not in a chase) or until the end of the chase (if they are in a chase). Tapping the cane takes 1.5 seconds and is audible to all survivors in the trial.

PERKS

As a Bat: Your ears are tuned to the sounds of your prey. The sounds of survivors running, falling, vaulting, and entering and exiting lockers is increased by 25/50/50%, and the volume of chase music is decreased by 0/0/25%.

Possessive: You give freely, but you refuse to be robbed. For every successfully searched chest or cleansed totem, your attack cooldown is reduced by 5%, up to a maximum of 20/30/40%.

Hex: Zeal: You are devoted in your service to the Entity. After hooking a survivor, gain a stackable 5/7.5/10% bonus to movement speed for 60 seconds. Survivors do not receive a hex notification until you hit one while under the effects of this perk.

NEW SURVIVOR: KHADIJA JAN

Khadija Jan was born in a troubled place in a troubled time. Her childhood was dominated by the sounds of explosions, the smell of smoke, and the sight of injured and anguished. Still, life goes on, and her family found happiness in each other. Khadija's most treasured memory is her mother, father, and brother out at the market, laughing and loving together. She, mercifully, does not remember the blast that came after, only that she awoke with her head swimming and pain across one side of her body. She cannot forget, try as she might, the sound of her mother's agonized screaming or the sight of what remained of her father and brother.

Khadija's grandparents took her in, but she struggled to recover, unable to make sense of what had happened. It was only through faith in a higher power that she moved forward. She found strength in prayer, perseverance in denial, and deliverance in giving to others. Khadija first cared for her crippled mother, then for her aging grandparents, always thankful for her role in the divine plan. She was a young woman when they all passed, leaving her with plenty to live off of but nothing to live for. She escaped the violence by moving to another country, and found employment at the Ezekiel Roth Memorial Institute for the Blind, helping many more people overcome their challenges.

But Khadija's faith, inspired by her own suffering, could not withstand the endless suffering of others. Why were so many lives full of hardship? Why so many anguished families? Why so many degenerative diseases? Why so many pointless deaths? Why so much fear? Why so much pain? Why so much sadness? What plan could require all of this, and what good could come of it? In her fear, she prayed again and again, but finally she stopped, even more afraid of the silence she heard in return.

One day, Khadija took a walk through the woods behind the Institute, aiming to clear her head and her soul in the lonely quiet. First, she was lost, uncertain of the world and her place in it. Then, she was literally lost, every tree unrecognizable, unable to see past a sudden onset of fog. And then, she was truly lost.

Appearance: A woman wearing a niqab, but casual clothing such as a sweatshirt and long skirt or pants. Burn scars are subtly visible at some edges of the eye opening.

PERKS

Quick Fast: You've learned how to make do with less and how to teach others to overcome difficulty. Any penalties to action speeds are reduced by 25/50/75% for you and allies within 8m. Once out of range, this effect persists for 15 seconds.

Crisis Response: You are motivated to quick action in dire times. Gain a 15/25/35% bonus to healing and unhooking speed for every wounded, dying, or hooked survivor besides yourself and a 10/15/20% bonus to repairing and gate opening speeds for every dead or sacrificed survivor.

Sharing is Caring: Whenever you are using an item during a cooperative action, other survivors performing the cooperative action gain a bonus to their action speed as if they were using the same item. Does not provide the effects of add-ons. While this perk is active, item consumption rate is increased by an additional 100/75/50%.

At first I wasn't sure if this power would serve any real benefit besides the tracking but then I got to down to thinking, after the cane tap the Survivors can't hear your TR. If you can see them and you just keep tapping that cane you can technically sneak up on them and their vision is incredibly reduced, you could use this effectively to catch people. Also I love the attention to distance on the Aura reading, once Survivors know it's The Overseer they won't be running because he'll see them but at some point they will have to run because he'll see them if they walk too close, that's brilliant.

Killer perks are top notch, for once I have no complaint or suggestions which is refreshing because a lot of fan creations can go overboard by accident not knowing just how powerful it can get in practice. Your Hex is really cool, I don't notice the haste effect from Devour so this will be badass for slow Killers.

Quick Fast--IDK if this is a compliment or insult but this looks like something Behavior would make

Crisis Response---is the 35% stackable so if two Survivors are injured do you have a 70% healing speed? That's better than every healing perk there is so no one will use anything else but this. If it's not like that then it's redundant because you can't heal without someone being injured so the 35% from being injured is just weird.

Sharing is Caring---I can see me debating whther I should choose this or Streetwise lol this is a good perk.

Awesome fan chapter, this is one of the good ones :)
