Killer not moving, just hitting with his weapon
hi guys
I had three games in a row with one friend (swf) and two random survivors where the killer was not moving. he/she was just standing and continuous hitting with the weapon. Is this a bug? or really a player behind who wants to farm? i dont think so.
anyway ps4 cues seems to be horrendous in swf... solo its vers fast, but swf... :-(

Do they? Personally I havent played a lot on consoles, so I dont know.
I would run a bot via some sort of python script on PC, but I cant imagine how that would be done on consoles^^

I'm pretty sure third-party controllers come with turbo and a bunch of other options. Even if not, it doesn't take an electrical engineer to rig a physical contraption that pushes a button every X seconds.

Thats not bannable though, only if you use third party SOFTWARE, at least technically speaking.... =)

the funny thing is, that we had this three games in a row... always a different killer (player) but doing the same, just hitting and not moving. we tried to tell the killer to hook or chase someone, but he/she was not moving. so i think it was not a real player. very strange... three times in a row

I have only seen this happen on console. At this point I assume it's a bug and the killer actually disconnected when the match started. Every time I have seen this, the killer would just stand there no matter how long the match went on. We were there for over 40 minutes once. A bot mashing buttons would not get them into a match like that. They would need to be pressing specific inputs to get out of the results screen, go to play as killer, create a match, then just stand there singing their weapon.
It seems highly unlikely to me that those exact inputs are being made because there is no left stick movement. Unless the person just sits there watching the whole match then picks up their controller and goes into another match every time

Some killers use it as a tactic. I faced a Leatherface once that entered the match just swinging repeatedly, standing still. My friends and I thought " cool ... farming. okay." so we gen rushed, searched the chests and opened up the doors to leave. However, one friend was brave enough to want to get extra points by getting hit and running around the killer. They approached. He had NOED. He downed my friend and the friend that came to help and we fell like dominoes.
Surprising tactic. Efficient in that case.

I had e run matches where all I do is protect my totem for fun. Those are honestly some of the more fun matches. Had one recently where Uncle Bill and cousin Meg ignored gens and kept trying for the totem. It was in the 2 story hit on Azerov's map and I was running Hag.
We had a blast. Was a fun way to change up the game. Special mention of the Feng and Jake on Coal Tower who dedicate themselves to that totem. Feng eventually got it, but at the cost of Jake's life. Another fun one.

I have this tactic a few times on PS4. It is very surprising how well it works the first time it is seen. I havent fallen for it since
