New chapter information (from the stream)
This is probably not going to stop the deluge of threads asking about it, but oh well...
Vile Purge is the killer's power. It makes you throw up on objects and survivors. Both become infected. Survivors who are sick make noise and become increasingly sick as they exert themselves (running, vaulting, etc.). When "fully sick", they're damaged and become Broken.
To cleanse themselves of sickness, Survivors then have to interact with "The Pool of Devotion", which are fountains of (holy?) water. They heal survivors, not just cure them.
After survivors heal up, the fountains become power-ups for the killer. And then the power becomes different. It injures survivors.
The Plague moves at regular speed, and the power slows her while charging. However, while the power is actually being used, she moves at regular speed.
First perk, Dark Devotion:
Dark Devotion is an obsession perk. If you hit the obsession, the obsession will take on your terror radius. Meaning, they exude a TR, and you do not. The obsession hears the TR as well, and all TR-related effects trigger off of the obsession instead.
Second perk, Infectious Fright:
WIP name "######### your pants". Put a survivor in the dying state, and all other survivors in your TR will reveal their location.
Third perk, Corrupt Intervention:
The three furthest generators from you when the trial starts will be blocked by the Entity for a few seconds, making them impossible to interact with.
Survivor perks:
Solidarity - Healing a survivor heals you as well. 50% is the percentage they have now.
Poised - After a generator is completed, you leave no scratch marks for 10 seconds.
Head On - After being in a locker for 3 seconds, you stun the killer for 3 seconds if you rush out of the locker while they're nearby. Triggers Exhaustion and cannot be used while Exhausted.

What is the point of this killers power? Why do i want the survivors to be sick? Is it just for noise and the green glow?...
What if they don't cure it?
3 -
I wish they went more in depth about the Killers Powers.
What Happens to a survivor if they're infected and don't cleanse themselves?
How long does it take for something to happen to a survivor once infected?
What is the Power up to the killers power that she gets from a used Fountain?
4 -
Dark Devotion sounds nutty in the right builds.
Going to have to see the purge power in action before judging it, though.
0 -
Not sure. I didn't catch what sickness actually does to them, besides the noise and vomiting.
1 -
Infectious Fright Nurses are going to be a pain tbh...
0 -
They mentioned the power-up. The power will injure survivors (drop them one health state).

@Bbbrian2013 we don't know the stream didn't go over her power to well, all we know is what the op posted, there is even a timer at the bottom like the pig, what happens when it reaches its end and what effects do the survivor experience when sick besides throwing up and spreading the sickness.
My guess is that her upgraded power has one or more uses and it will instantly down a survivor. It kinda makes sense because survivors can heal by useing the fountains if they are infected.
0 -
Nothing here that looks that great, the power seems ok but I will wait to see it in operation to see what it actually does, I don't really think another objective on killers is a great idea as it means adding another objective for the overall game is harder to add and balance.
Killer perks are kind of underwhelming, another obssession perk where you really don't want to chase and down them to get the full use hmmmmmmm, it must have a timer though as if its perma as that could end up being OP, we saw what happened when tinkerer was bugged.
Survivor ones also are nothing special, solidarity could be good on SWF but not so much solo.
I can't see anything to really change up the meta with the perks.
0 -
If you watch the survivors in the stream, infected ones pause to puke and Dev's said you can raise the infection by being to active. Until we get ptb, I would assume it builds like madness for doc with the maxed version causing more frequent noise & vomiting.
0 -
It's pretty damn cool that this killer can make pallets have a downside tbh...
Can you just go puke on all the pallets?...That'd be cool...
0 -
I am more curious as to what they have done to the totems. Which was mention at the end of the stream
1 -
To be TOXIC to the survivors
1 -
They probably didn't go in-depth about the killers power to leave it as a surprise in the PTB.
1 -
I don't know about that, that may punish loopers but it would also punish those who use pallets for distance to try and juke.
I dont see being punished for using what the game offers as a means of escape a good thing without it having a counter play.
It will all depend on her power and what it does of course.

They told us in stream, the powered version injures them as well.

This killer seems really awesome! I’m excited to use this ability and I really like the visual concept.
I know now this is just guessing but I believe it’ll probably weakensurvivors and thus slow down their speed in interacting with items, while also being easy to see and hear. This power seems like one that will be hard to hide once hit by.
I do wish the bile looked a little more realistic, but I think it’s a fun color
i like Jane too, and think her powers will be a fun addition to the game. I’m wondering how close the kille rhas to be for the stun to work. I’m thinking it’ll be a perk you activate right before the killer opens a locker, or maybe right as. But I think it’ll be an interesting perk to play with and around.

Update on the killer power.

Sigh...
Awesome Killer perks..
but their concepts for Survivor perks suck. Like okay... why do we have the two same perks for two different interactions?
Poised and Dance with me... why aren't they just one perk lol

Time too yeet out of lockers
0 -
Thank you. OP will be updated.

Alright, I'm gonna be the one to ask: If the Fountain outright heals Survivors, does this mean it is affected by perks (both Survivor and Killer) that affect healing?
0 -
It would be cool if the plague can spread to other survivors within a certain range of the infected survivor. Perhaps it could be % based that increases over time the longer you remain in range
0 -
As I understand it, that's the idea.
0 -
My guess is no. It's not a healing interaction per se, it's just an interaction that also happens to heal survivors.
0 -
Because one is for chases/mobility and the other is for when you finish a generator and they come over?
1 -
Forgive me if I find that to be exceedingly arbitrary.
0 -
Well, the fountains are supposed to cure you of the plague. Healing is just a side-effect. How's that?
0 -
Bleh, I'm trying really hard to find the devs' word regarding the definition of a "healing action," but I'm struggling. My point is that if "an action that heals a player one or more health states" is not a specific enough description for what is considered a valid parameter for being affected by healing perks, then what is?
0 -
The survivor perks all 'meh'. Solidarity only has value if both you and the survivor you are healing are injured. If you are playing solo, that is just beyond bad. Even in SWF, in 9 out of 10 games you would be better off with something with less restrictions like Botony Knowledge. I think for this perk to ever be a "thing", it should come with limited range empathy that only works when you are injured.
Poised is probably the most practical of the 3 assuming that it works when any generator is finished and not just the ones you finish. 50 seconds of no scratch marks during a match is nothing to sneeze at. I just don't really see what I would bother dropping to use this for. In a SWF group, it might be fun to try and coordinate with your team when to pop a gen so you can escape from a chase though.
Head On feels like it is both super troll-like and bad bait. Survivors are going to get themselves killed a lot trying to use this. Or wind up hanging out in lockers a lot for no reason. It's the 3 second requirement that really ruins this perk. Would it be that awful if there was no requirement? Or even just 1 second? Sure, the survivor would run into a locker right in front of the killer and get an easy 3 second stun. Then they are exhausted and can't do it again during that chase. Is that really any different than the advantage given by other exhaustion perks? I don't think I'll even bother unlocking the new survivor honestly.

Honestly its more of a indirect nerf to a flashlight than anything, who's gonna pick dude up when you just saw Claudette screaming behind a bush in front of you, I'm wondering if calm spirit would be a counter
0 -
This just sounds like Legion again....but at 115% like legion should have been and still should be.
0 -
It's a counter to last-second flashlight saves, if anything. You can't check the area around you every single time before a pick up.
0 -
The action, in practice, is either drinking the water or cleaning yourself with it. That's not healing per se.

Twitter. Check the comments, there's a link to it.
0 -
Ok, found it.
So the survivor can get injured later?
Is it know what happens if the survivor was already injured, will he just get "broken" or will he actually go down?
Will the "improved puke" injure only or can I down an injured survivor with it?
Will the magical fountain just remove the sickness or actually heal?
If using the fountain is healing, will it get treated like actual healing (Nurse calling anyone)?
0 -
Yes, the survivor can get injured later.
I'm hoping an already-injured survivor will actually go down, like the Deep Wound effect, only not #########.
I'm guessing it'll drop any survivor one health state.
The fountain will heal a survivor, it says so in the OP.
I don't think it'll get treated like healing. In practice, you're cleansing yourself with it rather than healing. Healing is just a side-effect.
0 -
I wonder how much it is gonna take to use the fountain.
If it is gonna take 5 seconds, healing will be too powerful tbh. On the other hand, there aren't fountains everywhere so if we have to find them and It takes 20 seconds to use it, it is going to waste a lot of time.
I am curious how this killer will turn out to be. I hope the PTB is today but they said it is sometime in this week so It might be later on Thursday as well.
0 -
Keep in mind, when they use the fountain, it turns into a power-up for the killer. The Plague is very well designed, IMO.
0 -
"If it is gonna take 5 seconds, healing will be too powerful tbh."
You can see the animation during the stream. Using a fountain is like 4 seconds.
0 -
I'm betting the infection works like Legions feral fury attack only if not cleansed leaves a perceptual trail of green scratch marks that remains in all states, even while walking or sneaking.
0 -
The power when it comes to noise I think calm spirit would counter it. But however I do really like the sound of the killer and look forward to playing her in the ptb. When is the ptb due to be released.
0 -
I feel that the survivor perks will generally be used well in the right hands especially with my swf group we all play altruistically and heal each other. In my experience survivors will come to me for healing when I am playing solo.
0 -
Coulrophobia might resolve this issue
0 -
Evil within 3 myers with Dark Devotion, just saying.
oh Bubba and Billy with Infectious Fright, thats gonna be meta for them tbh
0 -
Corrupt intervention seems nice on paper
0 -
Interesting times ahead for Freddy.
Dark Devotion seems to be a fun perk for him as you can transfer your TR to your obsession, sure you will lose him on a hit and run but sneak up on any other sleeping survivor with his small size, potentially getting some grabs.
Solidarity might be a new soft counter to him too.
1 -
"Coulrophobia might resolve this issue"
I don't think so. First, you have to be within the TR. 2nd I think it will get the same treatment as Snap out and Mending… it is healing, but is not affected by anti healing perks.
*puke*
0 -
I'm pretty sure "healing action" refers to a mechanical game action and does not refer to what the character is literally doing; otherwise mending would be considered a healing action. :P
0 -
But mending doesn't actually heal, it simply cures you of a status effect (Deep Wound). If anything, that just supports my hypothesis that the fountains will not be affected by healing perks.
