It looks super out of place in the red forest and it really ruins it.

I like that the temple isn't the entire map but only a building on the map. As the others, I don't think the Red Forest is fitting for a Babylonian temple but I assume the devs simply didn't have enough time to create a new realm. Releasing a new DLC every three months makes for a very tight schedule.

I'd have to see the new titles (jungle gym and regular stuff) and especially the lower floor of the main building to judge it. I'm just hoping that it's not a death trap where you're absolutly exposed with no way to juke.

Also, Red Forest/Mother's Dwelling is a pretty big map. I hope they made this new version of it a bit smaller.

Management: Okay guys we need to save 50% of map building costs and Time to build costs.....Ideas?

Dev: Let's add some stones and a temple to an existing map! That way we don't have to debug the collisions on an entire map!

Management: Here is your employee of the month award!

In addition to my earlier remark about the realm the new map is in there is another problem.

Ancient Babylonian architecture was colorful and intricate with different shades of blues and yellows.

From what we saw in the dev stream this "Babylonian Temple" looks more grey and gold. Honestly, after first seeing the map I thought we had an Incan or Mesoamerican killer (Large stone bricks and gold finishings.)

I'm not going to be too unhappy until I get a chance to see the new map in game, but I am definitely on-guard.

I love that they are re-skinning Red Forest. Been wanting another Red Forest for quite some time. The reality is it saves development time and money to re-skin maps, so I'm fine with that. Better to use those resources on things that matter.

The temple itself is cool ... so now just crossing my fingers that it will be a well-designed map, balance-wise

If it wasn’t in Red Forest, I’d like it more.

It's not so much that they re-used a realm, it's that they slotted the ancient babylon theme into red forest. Not what you think of when you think of the ancient middle east lol

Spirit and Legion got their own realm. I think Legion could have easily had red forest and nobody would have batted an eye.

But we don't have a map like ancient babylon. Maybe that's intentional though. Too bright and exotic looking perhaps?

It looked... beautiful on stream <3... its indoor and outdoor which is awesome! The temple is monstrous! It's bad ass!... I'm excited to see more!

Exactly this, I feel like if they had to choose an existing map they should've chosen parts of swamp and added a different lighting.

Agreed. A desert map or a good indoor temple map. Still they need to make more variations of their newer maps - like yamaoka, the game (maybe offset the floors some), and ormond - those maps all basically play the same every time. And it would suite me fine if they retired some of the old, tired maps.

i think the temple would of looked good in like a jungle or sand like theme...it's just they spent too much time on the temple which don't get me wrong is impressive but again the whole red forest thing doesn't fit in with the killer and her story etc

@The_Crusader crusader they could of made it dark though, even babylon like theme would of looked good in the dark, if you google images of such it just doesn't fit in with the forest like theme..

I like the idea behind this map but I think the red forest is a bit out of placE. The fact that I can go down to the crypt of the structure is awesome tho.

I was offset by the red forest/temple mashup vibe at first but the more I keep watching and seeing the clips of it, the more I started to like it and it reminded me a lot of Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Plus, I'm going to go on a theory with this, we could have been told how far the Plague and her followers travelled to try and escape the plague before they succumb to it. From ancient Babylon (The remains of the city are in present-day HillahBabil GovernorateIraq) to the red forest of russia that's in game, that's about 3,000 miles give or takes depending on where in russia they died. Which makes the Plague's story more tragic.

Looks nice aestetically, but im a bit worried about the loop potential of the temple

I wish it was in it's own area surrounded by sand dunes and everything. I'm not a fan of it being in the Red Forest. It seems out of place to me.

I already like the map red forest but it just seems really odd how there’s a random temple there.

From what I’ve seen the map looks alright!! I think I like it so far.

Disappointed that the lockers aren't sacrophagi. And it would be better if they used the swamp. As everyone has said, the Red forest doesn't fit at all.
