Head On is DS 2.0?
Thoughts? I think it will be interesting.
Perk:
Head On: While hiding in it for 3 seconds and are not exhausted it causes the Killer to be stunned and you become exhausted.
Imagine getting chased and before going down jumping into a locker. Killer gets stunned and it gives you more time. There is a lot you can do with the perk the downside though is you have to be in the locker for 3 seconds. I think distance of the killer from the locker plays a large factor and if anyone knows the distance let me know.

Definitely not. Too situational
2 -
It stuns the killer though?

It is a good perk but too situational, perks like dead hard is much more useful.
A good mindgame perk though, lockers receive some love in the latest updates.

Not even close my friend.

I'm guessing it'll be used by more immersed survivors. Altruistic survivors will still use DH or BL I think.
0 -
Yeah but it requires timing and knowing how far the killer needs to be by the locker.
1 -
Nah, not that good, but I def say don't underestimate it

DS and even DH give you no space for mindgames or any chance to outplay them for that matter. Its luck if one trumps the other as far as those two perks go.
As for Head On its 100% situational and requires some sort of mind games to pull off, the only place I think it'd mostly shine is the basement lockers which gives you plenty of chances to pull it off.

I think it could be a strong perk imagine jumping into a locker before dying it’s an extra chance.
0 -
You need to be in a locker for 3 seconds, so you can't pull it out of nowhere. You'd have to juke the killer with quick & quiet maybe, then have the search around and eventually the locker.
Or if there is 2 survivors left both hatch camping, I guess the immersed claudette types can use it. If you like to hide in lockers in these situations then it gives you a way out if the killer tries to search your locker.

You can have your friend jump into the locker for you with the perk.
0 -
Before going down, you'd jump in a locker and wait a whole three seconds to try and get the jump on the Killer?
0 -
Whats stopping them from just grabbing your friend out of the locker?
0 -
I think Head On is more meant for when you’re hiding and the killer is thoroughly searching the area. So if they go to the locker you have a chance for a stun to get away. It will be clutch for stealthers, or new players will probably get a lot of use out of it. They love lockers.
2 -
Lmao no?
you have to meet a bunch of priorities first dude
0 -
also none of the conditions involve being downed. So it isn't a second chance perk
0 -
This is true. Still think there could be some interesting gameplay though?
0 -
Absolutely. It's a cool perk. But it's no DS
1 -
I'm 100% running this perk, as a Killer I am for excited that the Basement has a counter to it which is weird to be excited by lol As a Survivor I'm excited because it's a great stealth perk and one of the few Exhaustion perks I can with another Exhaustion perk.
Head On, Dead Hard, Urban Evasion, Self-Care, if I'm caught then I stun with a locker and no Dead Hard but if I can't find a locker then I have Dead Hard. This is badass.

But you have to be in it for 3 seconds. Mid chase wont help if they're on top of you.
I just like that if I hide and they randomly decide to check mine, it's not a hop out "hey hows it going I'm just gonna go...." and get smacked. Now I have a shot lol.

I think there is enough time depending on the distance the killer has to be in order to get locker stunned. Again this all depends on the distance.
0 -
I'm assuming "3 Seconds" is Tier 1?
0 -
Right but it's not like literally mid chase you can use it, like DS (currently). It takes more planning/time. It's not just a "stop the chase" button.
I see it more for when you hide, and they get lucky enough or clever enough to find you, and you HAVE to jump out or get snatched.

As I predicted...
0 -
Still a very strong perk. If you know what your doing and can out smart a killer in a chase long enough to use the perk.
0 -
Head On will be useless except in the basement. I like the perk but its too situational to even be considered good.
0 -
It is an exhaustion perk though. People need to give up their sprint bursts, balanced landings, dead hards, and lithes to use it.
As a killer, I take this perk over any other exhaustion perk tbh. It is too situational.
1 -
Agreed , as a survivor I’d use it more in a stealth build than a run the killer build for sure. They can grab from lockers too quickly three seconds is a long time when In a chase.
0 -
You have to be in the locker for 3 seconds before it'll activate. If you jump in a locker mid-chase, they'll just grab you out with no drawbacks
1 -
wait wait wait...
This is basically another huge nerf to basement Bubba, after the DS changes.
@Eveline They just won't leave our guy alone
1 -
Yeah but 3 seconds is not a lot if you can manage to vault over a window of a build like gas haven and into a locker. Its risky but could work and its not impossible.
0 -
Considering its an exhaustion perk, the tier difference will most likely come from exhaustion duration. Not to mention, when people refer to or present a perk, its always the tier 3 version.
0 -
I imagine the stun area is small enough that killers can mindgame and moonwalk out of the stun zone. This will be an interesting perk though and I can't wait to try it.
0 -
Not true. They're all situational and can be saved. Except sprint burst. Which you could technically walk and save, or regain exhaustion while in the locker. It doesnt really REQUIRE you to pass on anything. Just play smarter if you run both.
I'll run lithe and balanced landing sometimes if I plan on being a runner, just so I have 2 chase options based on situation.
0 -
What you said is true since I do it with dead hard and balanced landing but it will make them waste 2 perk slots and a lot of survivors are not willing to do that. The new perk is cool but compared to other exhaustion perks, it is too situational to be used.
0 -
Oh absolutely its situational and requires a build for it, but to say it cant be used with them was just off to me. Maybe I misinterpreted what you meant.
