Hatch fairness.

I am actually a firm believer that the hatch needs to be fixed in some way that makes the survivor work for it instead of just an immediate escape just because 4 people managed to do 2 gens which is unless your team is completely brain dead should be done.

I think that after 2 gens the hatch after the 3rd survivors death should be cracked open allowing the normal audio cue to play for it but make the survivor have to open the hatch completely to be able to use it.

I am a rank 5 killer and survivor and I can honestly tell you Hatch standoff's suck as well as seeing the last survivor teabagging on top of the hatch in the distance is just toxic in and of its self.

it's a free escape. I don't do standoffs I just let them go.

I usually do unless their toxic little balls of sunshine tea bagging after a pallet or window jump. I just felt like it isn't really fair to the killer because let's face it its really easy to get those two gens.

It is on the list to fix but it could be a long time, they are trying to find a solution which makes it fair for both sides which isn't as easy as it sounds.

Right now I just let them go as the standoff just wastes time when I could be earning more bloodpoints.

I know but there's not much you can do if one left and there is a hatch, unless they are kinda bad and you can grab em or down them.

Unless it's a 3-4man SWF, calling people brain dead is toxic 'in and of itself'. Most of the time, i'm soloing those 2 gens while my team runs around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. So how am I brain dead? You mean I wasn't being an over-zealous hook rusher? I believe that's what you mean. Because odds are you were camping. That's how only 2 gens get done. They were playing poorly, but that last guy doing gens is brain dead. Aight.

I'm rank 5 too and all I see are toxic tryhards tunneling(hard tunneling, going around other players just to hit the injured unhooked person, which also qualifies as camping so long as it wasn't an immediate unhook) or camping(i don't consider Insidious 'camping' as its more ambushing).

Your suggestion will NOT solve stand offs and leaves solo players completely screwed out of a match, offerings, and any items brought/found since most SWFs DC if their teammate dies or they start sandbagging the players not in their party. I know this is hard to grasp for most killers, but playing solo is actually harder than playing killer. Not ranking up, but trying to have some fun in this game until your team screws you. Rank means nothing in compared to skill.

So tired of hearing the crying over hatch. The hatch is fine as it is. I either stop them before they get to it, or they get to it. The only time I'm bothered by it, is when a survivor who did nothing all match gets it and did it by letting another die. I try to hunt the ones I have not seen down when I feel it is going to be a hatch game.

Honestly, the amount of 4k matches lately is astounding. I don't know what all the crying is about the hatch. let it go.

There is a very simple solution to hatch stand offs. It's an option that has been available to killers all along. When you get to 2 survivors slug one instead of putting one a hook. That gives you 4 minutes until the slugged survivor bleeds out to find the other survivor. If you can't find the survivor within 4 minutes then they earned the escape. If the other survivor rescues the slugged survivor and they finish the gens then they earned the escape. Either way, the hatch will not be an issue.

I always find slugging boring, as a killer and survivor. I don't have patience for it. If I played well I pipped anyway.

The only real balance I think it needs is just have the number of gens increased to open the hatch from two to four

    This.

I wish more people had your attitude towards survivors actually waiting out the bleedout though. Most of the time (in my experience) the player that does it gets trashtalked by both the survivor being "abandoned" and the killer obviously circling them for the entirety of the 4 minutes.

Lately I have started just going afk on hatch... can be quite funny how much time survivors waste before they leave =)
