Spies From the Shadows Nerf

Devs, come on, really?

  • Spies From The Shadows: Added a 5 second cooldown when the perk triggers.

Now, as far as I understand, it is not going to trigger every time a crow flies, rather, there is going to be 5 seconds cooldown to trigger the perk once again.

The perk is not used that much right now, why nerf it?

Mayby in case if survs run in few places and scare crows at that same time. That can be confusion.

I see this as a QoL change, since you could very easily get multiple explosions that would leave you disoriented.

I think it's more so your eardrums aren't destroyed when a Survivor runs past a group of two or three birds.

This is for sure a QoL change, not sure you ever had spies equipped while in a chase, it's not fun for the killers eyes or ears, this is far from a nerf.

Yeah guys I kinda understand it but if another survivor alerts crows, I won't be able to hear them.

I was using this on my spirit and it really gave me good amount of information and allowed me to know nearby survivors. The survivor I am chasing will alert the crows and put the perk in a constant timer, not giving me a chance to know whether there are other survivors nearby.

I guess I won't be able to use it now if the change is as bad as I expect it to be.

you're damned if you do, damned if you dont. If the range of Spies was 128 meters, you'd literally have too much information to deal with...its just not a good perk man

Fair enough, but I do think it's supposed to be a QoL change. Maybe provide feedback from the PTB if you feel that is too long. Maybe the devs could drop it to a 3 second cooldown.

I hate this change. As spirit I often take advantage of having multiple crows in order to get a feel for where a survivor is running rather than just where they are at that moment

Not really a nerf imo... it's mainly a QoL change... rather then having crows going off like crazy during a chase

If they’re gunna nerf spies then they better nerf calm spirit too. Those two directly correlate with each other.
