Change the hatch
I understand why there is a hatch.
HOWEVER, when the killer finds it first it is just absurd because it boils down to a boring and unfair waiting game where the killer has to pay annention constantly to stop the victim from escaping( for the grab)while a victim could literally go afk for 5 minutes and then maybe try or just play around on a gen or two. When I find it first as killer it usually comes down to me and the victim being 2 feet away from each other:him hoping i swing and me hoping he goes for the jump. Just sitting there staring at each other until one of us gives up.

Yep. Unfortunately there is no solution or it would have been found by now. Not even the great minds of this forum have been able to resolve the hatch conundrum.

how about a chest that is blocked by the entity somewhere on the map and in the chest is a key to open the hatch but the chest won't become unblocked until there is only 1 survivor left and 3 or less gens remaining, true you could say the killer could head straight for that chest and it would be the same game as before or instead of it being blocked by the entity the whole game the chest doesn't spawn until there is 1 survivor left and 3 or less gens then the killer and survivor are looking for this chest and if the survivor does find it it isn't like digging through a normal chest, they just run up hit one button and it opens and they get the key but then they still gotta find the hatch and killers can counter this by using up a perk slot to run franklin's demise if they are worried about a hatch stand off. I'm sure there has beens similar ideas but this would give more activity in this particular type end game scenario.

Jump in right in front of the killer that'll show them. It's totally safe by the way you will not get caught at all. 100% safe.

When you find the hatch, you go away from it so they don't instantly know its there, they'll assume you're just walking around for them. The Idea is to find them first or find the hatch first then survey the area from a high place to see where they'll be coming from.
If no such ledge is available, then you just look in the areas away from the hatch, that's the best you can do...
