Revolutionary Concept

Totally not easy to abuse in any conceivable way.

It should give us this option for killer as well. 3 man matches are no fun for anyone. So if the killer leaves, the offerings, addons, and items are returned to all players. This would work greatly
3 -
I'm confused, isn't the game supposed to be a 3vs1, and it's just a happy bug when you get 4 survivors in the same game?
4 -
such as?
0 -
That would be amazing.
4 -
What if a survivor DCs on the offering screen?
0 -
Even though I won a 2v1 before, I would like this, it is a f*cking hassel (Autocorrect is not helping right now sorry) to win a 2v1 or a 3v1, and don't mention 1v1, that is absolute chaos, this is something we need for a game meant for 4v1

Excellent idea.
@Orion then the rest of the players should be free to decide to leave the game without consequences. It's not something that would help against chicken survivors who DC when suspecting a mori, but that's another problem.
3 -
@George_Soros @se05239 Or it'd give survivors full control over killer offerings, since they'd just DC with impunity every single time they saw something they didn't like. Personally, I'd like to try to minimize DCing.

And DC players gonna DC regardless. at least this way killer get to keep their add ons and hopefully offerings for more suitable matches.
2 -
Note that the option only seems to be available to survivors. SWF would abuse the ######### out of this.

I assumed what @Aceonfire meant that`s for all the players in that game. And if its not it should be that way. Why discriminate killers, right?
0 -
@Orion then all moris, map offerings and shrouds, or possibly all offerings should be secret. Or, alternatively (I think I'd go for this one): any player at the beginning of a trial could start a vote: if the majority of survivors plus the killer all vote "yes", game would end.
Not sure any of this is perfect, but I mean, you agree that 3-2-1- survivor games, even with reduced number of generators are a problem that needs to be addressed, don't you?
1 -
Giving this kind of vote to either side is a problem because, as I mentioned, SWF would abuse it if it were on the survivors alone, and killers would abuse it if it were on them alone.
Yes, I agree it's a problem, but it has a very real solution that only requires that the devs fix the features we currently have, as opposed to creating new ones that might introduce new bugs.

Heh. Always the pessimist eh?
1 -
No, just a realist. We've seen it before where features that could be abused were abused, so why not this time? And why create an entirely new feature as opposed to just fixing the ones that are causing the issue in the first place?

Behavior can't give options when matchmaking. Until now, they've managed cue times by making meta changes in the game so players are inspired to play one or the other when something get's out of balance rather than just fix the matchmaking.
It's obvious they want to control the matchmaking.
Played a same killer 3 matches in a row? Don't care, get back in there.
Played the same map 3 times in a row? Don't care, you are matched.
Playing with a ######### SWF with 2 players 10 ranks higher than you? Don't care, go suffer them.
Playing with a killer who just wants to farm or depip? Nope, can't see any stats so you know if that's what your getting into before the match.
Playing with an urban immersion corner healing locking hiding Claudette who changes their name every match? We laugh at your misfortune and give you no options to never match up with that player again.
In most other games, players do their own self regulation of the game play to some degree. Either calling people out on voice comms, opting to just not play with them ever again, etc. That does not exists in DBD. Behavior does not care about that as their matchmaking system does not allow it without more clever programming.
And on the programming note, I'll end my rant. Let's just say it's very obvious the DBD devs have a diffrent view or perspective of the game than experienced players. It's a big disconnect which led content like Legions problem now, Nurse etc.
IMO.

Wow finally some good inspiration around
Support++
Also when u okay with 2 survs or solo (literally)
Much better than befriend a killer

Survivor or Killer, should begin the match with 4 other players. It should be available to all players in the match, if the game began in the lobby with 5 total (4 others....)
Some killers would stay because it's much easier to "win" against 3, some wouldn't.
It doesn't mean jack #########. The game simply does not work with only 4 players. it's designed to work with 5 total and is completely broken otherwise.

@Orion the thing is, those little chicken survivors who don't want to verse certain offerings are currently already DC'ing during the loading screen, they don't need that feature to do so.
Furthermore, imo all offerings should be secret when implementing this feature so you hit 2 issues with one patch

Full support of this, for both sides. Sucks bringing in purple or iridescent add-ons and having someone not load in, and then watching 1-2 other people DC after

They would need to make secret offerings not show at all for this to work (should be that way anyway), as Orion said some groups could abuse it so they never play versus Mori's with this and they lose nothing for taking turns on one member leaving upon loading.
