Freddy-Buff Idea(s)

1) Freddy should be able to swing through awake survivors and hit dreaming survivors

2) Implement a DREAM STATUS (Similar to The Doctor's Madness) where a survivor exposed to Freddy's Hum will SLOWLY drift into Freddy's Dream world; the closer he is, the faster it fills

3) As of right now, Freddy's Power is a toggle-based action (you run it over a survivor and it automatically activates and you have to wait)

My suggestion is to add on the power to make it that if you hold your power on a survivor that is awake it pulls them into the dream world faster, (Filling up Freddy's DREAM STATUS faster)

You could still keep the toggle effect in the game, say there are multiple survivors on a gen and you toggle multiple people to put them into dream-state.

For example:

if you were to just toggle the dream state, it would take 10 seconds to bring into the dream world

if you toggle AND hold the power on a survivor, it would take 2-3 seconds depending on how close you are to the survivor.

Would appreciate any cordial feedback, especially from Devs

No idea what the Devs are working on because they're tight lipped :(

The problem with your idea is that you don't understand what effect it has on him. Freddy's transition gives him mind games because Survivors can periodically see him and get tricked as to where he's actually going. If you have a radial Dream Transition then this ability is useless and he becomes a normal M1 Killer with awesome tracking. Granted Survivors will be in the DW more often and have to break out more often but he'll be just like Doctor except he can't counter loops(no shocking and no mindgames) All you'll be doing as Fred is walk around smacking people, whereas now you walk around, Transition, mind game/stalk and the smack, right now sounds more fun.

I do understand his effect. The problem is his mind-game potential is MINIMAL at best. The fact that you cannot see his approach is one of his strengths, and his hum is a lower distance than a normal killer's terror radius. Therefore, if you have his ability to toggle and hold for a quicker transition, he would be much more unnerving.

Also, the Radial Dream Transition is just an addition to my main idea, the toggle AND hold. The purpose of the idea is to create tension with hiding survivors; his power is not to revolve around this concept, just be an addition.

In addition to your comment of him being a normal M1 killer, being in the Dream World does not just create an awesome tracking killer, but hinders the survivors action speed, as well as require a snap back to the real world mechanic

Thank you for the comment, though. Your insight does get me thinking and helps refine my thoughts

No problem, I forgot you mentioned the holding, Survivors knowing that Freddy can do both would def create tension on top of the radial, I like that. I love Freddy(obviously) I wasn't sure if you were one of the noob Freddy players or casual Freddy players.

    I LOVE FREDDY

When I first heard he was coming to DBD, I nearly lost my #########. haha I just hate to see him so low on the effective list.

    @DudeDelicious

I have tried that, but unfortunately just made me swing AND "hit" the woke survivor, doing nothing, AND also registering a Freddy Hit Animation.

I'll try it out some more, but honestly feel if you can literally walk through a survivor, you should be able to swing through them effectively too

SIDE NOTE: swinging AND "hitting" a woke survivor does NOT add to his Save The Best For Last perk, yet I have to sit through a hit animation

I actually have been seeing a few other GREAT ideas for adding to Freddy and thought I would share:

    1) An Add-on that makes it take longer to be woken up by another survivor

    2) An Add-on that makes the survivor movement speed decrease while the transition is in effect

One add-on that I just thought of could be: Grants No Skill Checks while in the dream world, but grants a 25% increase to survivor actions while asleep (so instead of Survivors suffering from a 50% penalty, now only suffer a 25% penalty while in the dream world

Another idea that I had, which I HIGHLY DOUBT would get used, but would like to see because of the whole lore of Freddy: is giving him the ability to teleport.

This teleport ability would be similar to hag, but would not be as instant; maybe take 3 seconds. Also, he would only have 3 teleport spawns in the match. I'm not sure if it would be a good idea or not to allow Freddy to place the spawn points himself; they could just be randomly generated, like The Pig's Jigsaw boxes, just have them spawn like a triangle around the map.

The reason for this idea is two-fold:

    1) Freddy does lack in map-pressure, and this would help with that.

    2) This is one of Freddy's abilities in the Franchise, which made him absolutely terrifying; It really pains me to see one of the most terrifying killers of all time be so low on the Killer Tier List of DBD. He needs something DEVS!
