Sprint Burst and its proposed change (Q&A #2)

The proposed change to Sprint Burst that was revealed on Q&A #2 isn't really going address its main issue and what makes it so strong and picked by so many survivor players.

Currently, Sprint Burst allows survivors to instantly burst into a 3 second run speed of 150%. That power alone with addition of aim assist on killers melee attacks can create an effect similar to the Dead Hard's, where you wiff an attack, even though it should connect; makes an illusion of survivors being under an effect of invulnerability status.
Any decent survivor will try to bait killer's initial attack before sprinting away, this way they buy themselves most time chase wise (Killer is recovering from missed attack and survivor is gaining ground at 150% of their usual speed).
Of course, many killers do understand their intentions and will just close distance in order for them to sprint away without attacking and wiffing, still, survivor was caught in a bad position, somewhere in the open probably, yet gets away to safety (looping zone) due to this single perk.

Another point is it activating in the middle of a chase, which is nothing more but infuriating experience for the killer player, as they were probably gaining crucial ground, yet perk alone buys survivor massive amount of time, often allowing to reach another set of loopable zone and that happens quite often. [Your proposed change addresses this, it's fine]

The major issue is, Sprint Burst alone nullifies ambush based killers, Wraith and The Pig, especially the Pig. Personally, whenever I play as Amanda (Pig), I don't bother using ambush ability when approaching generators, as survivors are usually equipped with sprint burst, making said attack less effective than just standing up and beginning the chase.
Wraith also suffers from this, decent survivors will wait for the Wraith to fully uncloak before sprinting away, nullifying his element of surprise or use of his speed boost addons.
Sprint Burst alone makes those two killers horribly weak, or at least drastically ... tremendously decrease their effectiveness.

Your proposed change only addresses mid chase reactivation of SB, which is just one of 3 major issues this perk creates.
For the record, 3 issues it creates are:
1. Trivalizes bad positioning; being caught in the open isn't an issue.
2. Drastically increases survival chances during a chase, when it goes off the exhaustion cooldown and creates illusion of invulnerability when attacking while SB is active (aim assist).
3. Nullifies powers of ambush based killers.

I do think that Sprint Burst needs a rework in how it works.
Personally, I would proposed this change:

Sprint Burst now grants you 1/2/3 seconds of additional speed boost after being hit by the killer's attack.
Causes Exhaustion.

It doubles the speed boost and distance covered after being hit.
Allows survivors to gain enough distance to also attempt an evading actions, to try and lose the killer due to massive amount of distance covered during that time.

It would also provide quite a buff to the late game of survivors, when rescuing each others from hooks when gates are already powered, as that kind of a speed boost would quite easily grant them safety.

tl;dr

Rework SB into something else, as it currently trivalizes many dangers and removes threat from certain killers or locations.

Suggested rework:

Sprint Burst now grants you 1/2/3 seconds of additional speed boost after being hit by the killer's attack.
Causes Exhaustion.

I really like this idea! It remains a useful perk but can be countered by good play from a killer with an insta downing ability
