With Regards to the Self-Care change

I LOVE your guys ideas on the Self-Care change as killer main who also loves playing survivor.

However I do think it's a little rough to make it an immediate loss of progress if you stop for any reason. Let's say you're at 75% on your Self-Care and a fellow survivor comes over to heal you. It would be faster to hold onto your Self-Care as if you let go to allow the other survivor to heal you they'd need to restart from scratch. This update to Self-Care as proposed will cause a less altruistic play-style to come to light and I don't know if that's your intention. Also if you just accidentally let go for less than a second, you'll be doomed to start all over again, which just isn't fun for anyone.

My suggestion would be to add a window of forgiveness that would come into effect if you've been using Self-Care for more than a few seconds. If you've been healing using Self-Care for more than a few moments you should be granted a small window that stops the decay of your healing progress if you remain still should you let go of your Self-Care. This window will allow Survivors to more efficiently heal each other & will help prevent frustration if someone accidentally lets go. This window should be cut short if the player moves to avoid abusing this window while in contact of the killer.

Again, I am a huge fan of the proposed change already, however it just seems a little cold to promote an anti-altruistic play style in order to be more efficient as a survivor. Just imo.

I think you’re confused, it isn’t being nerfed hard enough. Even with that change SC will still be completely meta and ran by everyone.

I don't think you understand what the devs are trying to accomplish by nerfing Self-Care. The nerf isn't meant to make it an unusable perk. It's meant to make it so you can't self heal during a chase or when close to the killer. I'm sure this perk will always be meta as it's a great perk to run seeing this is the only way you can heal on your own without another survivor or an item. I also run it on my survivors when I feel like playing a match. As a Killer main I'm totally for the devs doing the change to Self-Care how they plan, however it's simply unfair and unreasonable to survivors to leave it in the condition that the Devs plan to leave it in with this nerf. Just making altruism a thing of the past.

I think you’re misunderstanding me. I don’t expect it, nor do the devs want to change it to be unusable. SC could have this current change AND only have 2 uses and it would still be strong enough that everyone would use it. That’s how over the top it’s current strength level is. It just needs to be brought down to a fair level.

What's wrong with the perk being meta? Of course everyone runs it and it'll stay meta as it's again the only way someone can heal without an item or another survivor. The core premise of the perk is why everyone runs it. I honestly don't think it's that OP now, I just want to still promote altruism between survivors and avoid frustration when a survivor should have been healed, but something stupid made it that they didn't.

You’re miss understanding me. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with it being meta. I’m using that as an example of how overly strong it is. I’m demonstrating how it’s so overpowered that it would still be massively used even with the nerfs. You should be more reliant on teammates for heals. Pharmacy is how strong SC should be. Do you play survivor and killer at rank1? If you do you would see how completely abused this perk is.

I dont necessarily think self-care is op. But it can't remain in it's current state. Maybe if you sprint, all progress is reset (so it can't be used in a chase) and it will decay steadily if it's stopped midway through. This allows you to still allow others to heal you if they find you during, and they won't have to start from scratch but also facilitates somewhat using builds with SC and perks like resilience etc that give you bonuses while injured to make the most of it.
