Map Idea: Fisherman's Wharf

I think it would be very interesting to have a map near the ocean in a future DBD chapter. I mean an underwater map/ killer has been requested multiple times for a new chapter, and if we were to have a Fisherman's Wharf/ Pier map, then that would be an easy and creative way to blend both a creature from the water or at least associated with water with land and buildings nearby. I think it would be very interesting and could maybe even pair alongside the killer from "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

We could have buildings over water like the pic below and maybe a beach that players can walk on. There would be a mix of buildings and open area as well if there is a beach. I think it would be an interesting idea especially how all maps have walls so the ocean would be something new. The killer associated with this map could be a Fishermen, a Siren, or simply someone who was killed on one of the piers. Theres so many possible killers that could fit it with this map.

there are 5 years (supposedly) of DBD so many maps should come

however, DBD devs are recycling the existing maps with some minor modifications, so do not expect big changes like such

I just heard a bunch of BHVR designers groan at the thought of a map with an abundance of water.

I might not be a game designer, but even I know that water is a pain.

I mean, other than the water, isn't this just another Swamp map?

Well it would have more building and less greenery.

Any realm with less than 5 maps can get new ones.

@Peasant Thats true but it could be still water and obviously survivors and killers would not be able to in the water

@Orion And I suppose it could be another variation to swamp that would actually make me want to play on the map rather than groan at the thought of it

@BACKSTABBER They have been recycling maps recently but they've also come up with some really nice maps design wise like Yamaoka for example

    Nice idea.

I mean, if they can stick an ancient Babylonian temple in the middle of Red Forest, Fisherman's Wharf wouldn't look out of place in, I don't know? Haddonfield? 😂

If the Temple of Purgation didn't take place in a unique locale, then you bet your ass the wharf is gonna take place somewhere dumb too like in MacMillan Estate

Technically we already have one, the Swamp map without the boat has a huge dock as the centerpiece, if you imagine water in the swamp maps you'll see that all the buildings are docks.

Anyway having an actual wharf with water would be awesome. I personally want a lake map, one house on a central isle surrounded by water, on the outskirts of the lake is the rest of the map. Kind of like Rotten Fields but with water instead of corn.

@Mat_Sella I know its awful that they did that to the temple. It could have been such an amazing map on its own.

@HatCreature That sounds like an awesome idea too! I just want more diversity within the maps instead of similar looking maps
