All my Survivors are running too slow

I only really play as Jake as I'm trying to get him to Level 50.

I've been playing every night for the last few days and today I played my first game against Freddie and since then in every subsequent game my Jake was running way too slow.

I switched to Meg, without using a perk that causes exhaustion and she was also running very slow.

For some reason all my Survivors are running as though their exhausted, except they aren't.

Please help as the game is now unplayable when being chased by Killers.

You don't run slower when you're exhausted. You just can't use an exhaustion perk when you're exhausted (except Adrenaline).

I think OP means that survivor are just jogging, instead of actually running away from the killer like their lives depends on it. And I agree, all survivors are running like toddlers. However that is for balancing reasons, because the killer is supposed to catch up, if surv wont put anything between them and the killer, like windows or pallets.

You don't run slower, the killer just gains blood lust which you have to take away from them with pallets. If you want to run fast in a chase, use like BL or Lithe so that it does not automatically trigger and you can still run whenever

If your previous killers were things like The Spirit, The Huntress, The Hag, or The Legion, then almost any other killer is going to make you feel slower in comparison.

@JoannaVO Ah right, I misunderstood the exhaustion thing.

But besides that, no my character is genuinely moving at half the speed they should.

I tested it and got my friend who was playing as Adam to run along side me, and he was moving way ahead of me.

He doesn't have any perks that effect speed and neither do I so I really don't understand what's happening.

I also seem to move faster if I'm running whilst looking sideways.

Oh I sometimes play with friends who have the same issue. Apparently FPS can really screw over your running speed. How much FPS do you have ingame?

If you are using controller, it might be that your left stick (or right if left handed) is busted and you need to replace it. Dunno what the solution is if you have keyboard.
