Is it weird? (Outlast 2)
Is it weird that Outlast 2 didn't scare me as badly as the original Outlast did? It just seemed too...I dunno, ridiculous? And confusing? It wasn't really that scary to me but more or less just 'meh' compared to the first. Dunno, just me??

Same for me. Though you could argue that is because you got used to the jumpscary nature of it when playing the first one. In order to get a more neutral opinion on that one, you would need someone who played Outlast 2 before Outlast 1.

A couple of things to consider:
1) Outlast 2 was really disjointed. The overall story was also rather ######### (Outlast 1 didnt have an amazing one either, but they screwed up trying to link both of them together).
2) It focused less on (what I like to call) the "Horror Trinity" and instead go for the creeping factor rather than scare factor.
3) As said above, the more you horror, the less you scare. I remember years ago when I couldnt finish Amnesia TDD or Alien Isolation because I would get too scared to keep going. Nowadays I am bolder than then.

I laughed too much during it, I didnt find it as scary. Martha was scary at first but kinda funny after a while, not sure why...

I played 2 first it scared the hell out of me. After that 1 and whistleblower. First person horror games always scare me too much.

The second one is not as scary as the others, the only thing that will get you is the jumpscare from the creature in the memory sections
The first on was in an asylum, so it is gonna get you more than outside with demonic people, Chris walker will give you a heart attack when he just pops up out of nowhere, whistleblower was a really good dlc to the first, but to alert you, a third is being talked about down at red barrels so lets just hope that fixes the issues that came from the second, the only good character through the second is martha, because she is a f*cker to deal with at the beginning, but then you learn after that
