7-8 minute killer wait times
Why if I’m the host is there a wait time and why is it so long? Anyone else having this issue? I’m on Xbox by the way.

Everybody wants to play the new killer now, therefore there aren't enough survivors, therefore you have to wait quite some time.

Many people want to try the new killer. It's the same every single time a new killer comes out. It'll go back to normal in a week or so. In the mean time, if the wait is too long, you can play survivor or play another game.

Normally at least for PC Eurasia, killer wait times are longer than survivors (Except for the moonrise event)
The new DLC came out so everybody wants to play with the new killer as well. It further increases the lobby times.
There is nothing you can do about this. People want to play the killer side right now, wait for a couple of weeks and it will be tolerable again.
And the reason why you have to wait as a host is that they came up with a new matchmaking system. In that time frame, the game tries to find suitable survivors for you, when it does, you get 4 survivors instantly. You are still a host.

Yeah but it’s the same as survivor, well close to the same about 5-6 minutes each game that’s why I switched to killer and it’s worse lol

Interesting. It's 2 minutes for me, tops. Started at rank 1 but dropped fast first day of new chapter, now at rank 3 or 4. But at any of these ranks, it's never more than 2 minutes.
I wonder if I'm just at a lucky location (Europe).

@katerinarae Okay, that is weird. Naturally, there will always be one side which has to wait and one side which will get faster lobbies, depending on how popular which role is. But having to wait more than 5 minutes for both roles? Again, weird.

When waiting for a game takes longer than playing the game itself.

That’s what I was thinking too. Lol I was like okay too many survivors lets play killer. Nope lol

I had no issues with lobbies at rank 1 before patch both on survivor or killer. Now i wait 3-4 mins to make a lobby, and another 3-4 minutes for the survivors to get thier rear in gear. Or i get unlucky and get a bugged lobby that only has 3 people for 20 minutes. THEN i gotta wait another 4 mins to even open up a new lobby...very unpleasant experience with this new system so far.

Probably because pretty much no one left at rank 1 with the new emblem system.

yeah but rank reset...so noone is rank 1, im currently sitting at 6 and 8 with these crazy que times, thats my point.
