Killer dc’d.. survivor depips

I’ve had numerous killers dc tonight, and it causes a permanent de-pip for survivors.. before this update if the killer dc’d, it would show us a depip as a survivor, but it wasn’t accurate.. now if they dc, we get truly depipped... why are we as survivors getting punished for the killers actions? Is this a bug that needs fixed?
