new DS should work twice.
It's meant to counter tunneling, but if you get tunneled off your first hook AND your second hook, if you used it the first time, you don't get it the second time. Even as a killer main, I think the DS should work if you're tunneled. Period. Every time. Not just once per game.

seeing as enduring is a counter I would agree to this change and tbh getting tunneled sucks lots and plus there is enough counterplay towards so it should work twice honestly.

No, new DS doesn't need any buffs whatsoever. If anything, it might still need nerfs due to how bullshit a free escape in any circumstance is.

If you're getting tunneled, then you deserve a second chance. If I'm getting chased straight off hook before I even have a chance to heal, then I should get DS.

Or better yet, give killers a base incentive to not tunnel, like the idea Tru3 and others had where you have a permanent debuff to repair speed after being hooked.

I've seen killers completely ignore other survivors, even injured survivors, to actively tunnel the person who just got unhooked. It's not on my teammates to stop the killer from being a douche.

Or they can not unhook when the killer is nearby? If someone is unhooked before I even have the chance to leave the area, they're getting right back on that hook.

I never have DS proc on me as a killer, because I don't tunnel. I am a killer main. Spirit/Pig. I only play survivor if I'm with friends.

So i should avoid the generators that the killer is constantly patrolling, and focus on hiding and not being chased, which in the end would just result in way less points, and a de-pip? Great idea.

its supposed to punish tunneling. so let it punish tunneling. lower the 60 second timer to 40 seconds, and make it work when you get unhooked. Borrowed Time works every time, why not DS?

nothing wrong with NOED. It does what it's supposed to do, and punishes survivors for not playing the game properly. Keep the 3s stun, so enduring still makes it ######### useless. But let it work if you get tunneled. That's what it's for.

This isn't a bad idea if we change other things about DS such as decreasing the timer to 30 seconds and increasing the stun time to 3/3.5/4 seconds. Besides, BT does the same thing so what gives?

I wouldn't agree. I was even suggesting it shouldn't proc at all if you hook someone else during the timer.
If you want it to work all game long like BT, which is already powerful enough, make the timer match the 15 secs of that perk.

I would trade it being usable 2 times if it didnt work when exit gates are powered.
Borrowed Time and new DS has been buffs to my playstyle as I rarely see them proc cuz I dont tunnel, but when one of them procs its when exit gates are opened and its a FeelsBadMan feeling losing that 1 kill.

Or just give killers tutorial videos on how to "git gud" at the game so that they don't need to relentlessly tunnel one survivor because they can't win chases.

You forget a major point: If you DS'ed a killer once, they know you have that perk. Even if it was a perk for multiple use, the killer wouldn't give you the chance to use it a 2nd time.

except they still do. i dont care, leave me slugged the second time for 60 seconds. that gives me more of a chance than downing me 15 seconds after i get unhooked and putting me out of the game permanently.

if you run enduring you can get them downed again in less than 5 seconds after a DS. it has counter play. it's not even a great perk. i just run it because it's hard as ######### to get points in the survival category. i just don't like being tunneled 9 out of 10 times i play survivor, which is the reason i'm a killer main.
it does not stop when you get downed.

I think the stun duration should scale in intensity based on remaining time. This based on when you go down, not when you're picked up.
If they tunnel you at 50-60 seconds it's the current 3 second stun.
If they tunnel you at 30 - 50 it's a 4 second stun like the old DS.
If they tunnel you at 10 - 30 it's a 5 second stun like
If they tunnel you within the first 10 seconds the killer is immediately banned from the game for being an awful human being.
Of course if you get hit, go down, but get healed up by another survivor because the killer walks away then the timer resets because that is fine imo

okay lets compromise. DS works every single time you get knocked down by the killer, it works in the pick up animation, increase the stun to 5 seconds, except, when you use it, you just drop back down into the dying state. so it gives the points, and you get to be a mild annoyance to the killer. fair?

Honestly, I like this idea and I play legion, only play survivor with my friends and when I get tunneled, they tunnel, this would help but every strike decreases the stun timer would be nice, also make enduring not affect it

I've been hit by the new DS once so far from day 1 of the ptb until today.
Turns out it's easily avoidable if you don't tunnel 🤔 imagine that.

That's a perk that was released by accident, that they're still doing in house testing on. There's a 95% chance that that perk will be completely different once it even hits the PTB.
