Is it just me, or does Plague's Infection feel underdeveloped?
When the Plague was revealed, her power looked like it was designed to give Survivors a dangerous choice between remaining infected and cleansing to give Plague her Corrupt Purge. While the Corrupt Purge has it's downsides, it's actually pretty well realized. What wasn't well realized, however, was the Vile Purge. The Vile Purge had an amazing concept of infecting Survivors with a debilitating disease, one that would encourage them to go cleanse.
Instead it's just... a Broken effect that does nothing if they've already reached a loop, and gives them the ability to heal in 5 seconds at a Fountain. I understand where the Devs came from when they said that Slowing Survivor movement speed or action speed would make Plague feel too oppressive, in fact I agree that it might have been a bit much. At the same time, I feel like they weren't willing to push forward with some other possibilities to make it actually have more of an impact in a chase, and as a result she ends up playing less like a spreading disease and, with the movement speed changes, more like a taller Leatherface that can give Survivors instaheals until she gets Corrupt Purge, which can be quite a walk to get.
A good example with the Sickness bug in the PTB when it first launched. I really liked the FoV Blocking effect it had, because it made looping her harder since you had less vision. This was a nice counterbalance to her extreme height that makes Mindgaming much more difficult. This made it dangerous for even the best loop gods to go without Cleansing. Another possibility that could have been toyed with would have been to play around with a Deafening effect, similar to Hag's Disfigured Ear addon. IMO they could have even toyed with a mixture of the two without making her Broken (eyyyy). I really feel like those sorts of additions to her Vile Purge would help make it really debilitating without negating the potent buff of ranged damage that Corrupt Purge poses.
Anyways, those are just my thoughts on the matter and I wanted to get them out there.
