Rant warning
I hate this and think it should be removed...

No. It's a legit tactic.

Generally speaking, since I use killers like huntress, spirit, hag etc. my chases don't last longer than 40 sec and sloppy butcher is one of my favorite perks.
If you don't go for hooks that are 30 meters away from you, 1 block won't make a difference. In order to actually save the guy, at least 2 people need to take the hits and without healing perks, it is going to give you 80 seconds.
Hook blocking is stupid as long as you don't try to save a death hook. Especially survivor teams doom themselves when they go for blocks instead of repairing generators, giving you free hits and self caring themselves in the corner for 40 seconds.
I know it is going to sound like bullshit but honestly, as a killer it is my dream that survivors actually try to body block and get free hits. No gen progression, self caring in the corner and even if I lose the survivor, I still didn't lose any generator and at that point, went through 4-5 pallets. Profit.

When I first saw the title, I thought it was going to be referring to blocking while unhooked rather than hooking. And now that I think about it I realize that Behavior made it to where killers can't hook block, but encourages survivors to do so. I know there's a good reason for that, but when you think of it like that, you can't help but think double standards.

It's a strategy just like tunneling and camping. Get over it.

@NoxiousOnnyyxx lol ok I don't like those either tbh I just see alot of threads of people complaining about those things already but never see any on this subject and was wondering how others felt. My initial post was tongue and cheek but I can live with it in the game just as I can live with all the other things that frustrate me no end as both killer and survivor.

Look at it this way since even if the person you're carrying wiggles off you've just whacked 1-3 other survivors and if you're running Thanatobia you scored big time.

It's fine, usually survs ######### it up anyway because they move too much so you can hook the guy while his friend looks stupid standing there.
