The Mess that was the ''Big 5K on the line DbD tournament''
So of course there is a lot of discussion if Marth actually should have won or not, but thats not the main theme of this post. There is already a discussion post about that: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/5338/de-pip-squad-lose-tournament#latest. Decide what you want to believe. I was one side, but decide to side with no one atm(more peaceful).
Anyways, what I am trying to get at, was that the tournament was all hyped up and everyone was looking forward to it.
It all started to go downhill very fast though.
Because they all wanted to do it in one day per console, the tournament lasted a total of 11 hours and 20/30 somewhat minutes, which is insane for the people waiting to play.
Then the waiting times. There was mostly a waiting time around 10-20 minutes per side change, that's not that great but acceptable in the end. What was not acceptable though, were waiting times of 30 minutes or even more, while I could hear and I know(from the contestants typing in the discord chat, that they were ready LONG before the hosts decided that it was showtime.
The music was heavily complained about too and they wouldn't even change it, just because the shoutcaster ''likes'' it.
Now the shoutcaster, it has been said he has 77 hours on pc. While he most likely got more hours on console, it doesnt seem that way.
His call outs were late and didnt say all that much. He forgot to say stuff about the match sometimes and just talked to his buddy about predictions, without paying attention what was unfolding on the screen.
I personally didn't like the shoutcaster all that much because of cringy jokes(but thats just an opinion of course) and the bad call outs.
Now unto the giveaways. There were 2 or 3 give aways in the already long stream, which prelonged it even more and could have been fixed in doing it in a discord or seperate from the tournament. It took way too long and just let the players who were clearly ready to play, wait even longer There were some Europeans in the tournament, who started around midnight and only finished around 5/6 AM I believe. Which is crazy for a tournament to suspect that just because the time 5 PM CST is good for you, that doesnt mean its good for the rest of the DBD players scattered around the world.
They need to plan it better as in a time that everyone is awake and fit and able to play on their best. Because I suspect that there were quite a few people very sleep deprived because of this tournament. Which also affect their play style and quality of course.
There have been so many allegations about a hacker or multiple hackers that I have no idea when and were that hacker was and were the proof is if they really hacked. I am not sure.
But this tournament with everything I stated has been a cluster ######### for me and I just hope that if there ever comes another big DBD tournament, that it's better organised than this, that the rules are so clearly written that there is no room for debate, make prelims and devide it over like a week or longer, instead of rushing it(because thats how it feels like).
Also, please be careful in who you let shoutcast the tournament, there were a lot of complaints about him and I dont think that s all just trolls and shitposters. There were a lot of people honestly and righfully frustrated by the tournament in general and all the BS that went on behind the scenes and in the matches.
Is this feedback ? A bit, but its mostly me ranting about this, because its bothering me greatly.
I hope the Devs can read this and take it into consideration.
Thank you to anyone who read it all and my apologies if my English is broken AF, I am tired.

it was indeed an absolute embarrassment for anyone involved in it, way too unprofessional for what was supposed to be an official tournament.

On top of all this, here's a clip proving just how shady the "loss" was and what the made up rule was.

There were made-up rules (rules that aren't in the game) but those rules were consistent and followed throughout.
If there is controvesy, it should be settled via a rematch, which it was. Marth lost the rematch fair and square.
Congratulations to Tournament Monsters for their legit win.
Keep on with that logic. We have literal video evidence, so I'm just gonna disregard you as the evidence literally proves you wrong. Also, what I said ties in to the fact he and his team were extremely unprofessional and handled the entire tournament, and grand finals especially poorly.

Aside from everything you said (which was all correct) what annoyed me most was killer/survivor in a chase and they cut and stay for too long on another repairing a gen. This happened too frequently.
PS: In the future please use TydeTyme's tourney rules. Makes for much better matches.

Grats to the winners. No rules were altered, they explained why it wasn't a hatch standoff, and they were correct. Not sure why everyone has to be so salty about it. Perhaps Marth should have spend some time reading the rules.

Not sure why my message has been deleted. Just wrote my opinion and gave tips onto what could've been used to improve it.
And yeah, he started talking about the community and how toxic we are because we had some reasonable complaints about him being the host and his way of hosting. Really can't remember it clearly, there's probably a clip of it somewhere.0
